Retreat Lead, Breathwork Facilitator and Life Coach
Clémentine's purpose is to support individuals to tap into their inner wisdom and cultivate a nurturing community for personal growth. Utilizing breathwork and creativity, she's honed her expertise since the age of 14, teaching over 20 Pranayama techniques, including Rebirthing and Transformational Breath. With a blend of authentic relating, motivational coaching, and playful embodiment tools inspired by her love for music, she guides transformative journeys to help you transcend limitations and embody your true essence.
Steward, Operations & Production Lead
Drew LaPlante holds a vision for all of us to live and create from our authentic heart frequency. Integrating the mind, heart and ancient brain in connection and cooperation to experience true health and stand fully in our own loving power. Drew expresses this vision primarily through his music, traveling and sharing his heartsongs for nearly three decades. At Awake, he is a founding member of the community and serves through stewardship of the space, team and outreach. He holds space for event and concert productions, sacred ceremonies, transformative retreats, ecstatic dances and authentic relating circles. He is passionate about creating warm, welcoming environments that uplift and unify people.
Operations, Circling Facilitator, Leadership Mentor
Sequoia holds a vision for community at Awake inspired by authentic connection with self, other, and the land. He feels at home in presence, and facilitates a relational practice called Circling which connects us to the shared truth of the present moment. With skills in management and systems frameworks, Sequoia also leads the restructuring of Awake’s center. As a leadership mentor and coach, he utilizes the Circling method to open new pathways for self-exploration. Awake has been Sequoia’s primary home since 2022.
Relational Facilitator & Healing Arts Practitioner
Soteria is passionate about meeting others on all levels: physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. With 24 years of experience working with people to feel integrated and resourced in their bodies, her work deeply connects clients to their wisdom and purpose. She works with a combination of modalities to assist in a transformational journey that aligns the vertical (self-awareness & soul connection) & horizontal (the relational field & earth).She manages and organizes Awakes weekly programming and wellness offerings, as well as facilitating authentic relating events and sharing a 1-1 healing arts practice.
Yoga, Education and Development
Zamir is an interdisciplinary educator and healer, focuses on unlocking human potential, promoting self-healing, and fostering an inclusive society. He practices Compassionate Inquiry therapy by Dr. Gabor Mate and co-created Patterns to Presence for healing attachment trauma. Zamir teaches yoga, leads immersions, and shares healing modalities like sound therapy and poetry at Awake events.

The international airport in Costa Rica is Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO). From there, we can organise a paid shuttle to Uvita. The drive is approximately 4 hours. There is also the possibility to take a public bus or organise your own shuttle.

With different Shalas for yoga and meditation practice as well as our Café Cora community hub and an extensive garden area, there is plenty of space to learn, play and grow.
