Limited to just 10 guests, join us as we explore the best surf spots in Costa Rica's Guanacaste region. From local favorites to world-famous locations accessible only by boat, embark on an unforgettable surfing adventure.

Our journey begins at Playa Grande, just 5 minutes from Ananda Lodge, offering versatile beach breaks to kick off our surfing immersion. From there we will take a private boat trip to the famous Roca Bruja, better known as Witches Rock. We’ll hang ten at Ollies Point and Playa Negra, all made famous by one of the top surf films ever made, Endless Summer.

Exploring local gems in Guanacaste, like Playa Marbella, Playa Langosta, and Playa Avellanas, we'll fine-tune our skills and ride the waves of some of the best spots in the region. And who knows? We might even uncover a secret spot or two for an unforgettable surfing experience!

Schedule

Day 1- Airport pick up in Liberia 300pm. Arrival at lodge. Meet and greet. Sunset at Grande.
Day 2- Dawn Patrol at Playa Grande, Ananda Lunch, Afternoon session Grande.
Day 3- Dawn Patrol at Marbella, Box lunch, hang on beach 2nd session. Return to Ananda. Pool hang.
Day 4- Boat trip Ollie’s Point/Witches Rock
Day 5- Rest day- Surf Grande if you body can handle it! Or plan an excursion
Day 6- Dawn patrol Playa Negra. Return and rest at Ananda Lodge. Afternoon session at Playa Langosta
Day 7- Dawn patrol at Avellanas, surf either Little Hawaii or El Estero. Go to Tamarindo for dinner and night out.
Day 8- Breakfast. Pack up and head to Liberia

- 1 hour to Liberia (LIR) Airport
- 30 minute drive to Tamarindo or 5 minutes by boat ride
- 40 minutes to Potrero

Capturing a sweeping view of the property and the ocean, our 8-room lodge is nothing but spectacular. With eco-sustainable construction and natural, local wood elements, the lodge is our primary housing for guests. Guests enter their rooms through the back of the lodge, allowing for unobstructed views of the property and ocean from the oversized, private balconies. Ananda Lodge is special! From waking up to ocean views in a king sized bed, to the peaceful sounds of a running stream and tropical birds during an immersive sound bath, I was in pure tranquility.
