About this Retreat
Eric has been a professional river guide since his teens, and facilitating nature connection experiences since he graduated with his M.A. in Cultural & Psychological studies with a specialty in Ecopsychology. When psilocybin journeys became legal in Oregon, it was a natural fit.
In 2023, the first year Oregon officially began offering legal psilocybin services, Eric completed his psilocybin facilitation training at InnerTrek.
Eric is here for the free thinkers, adventurers, explorers and radical agents of change, even those who don't know how to live that into being. Those who know things are off and want to break free from the matrix, but have had trouble finding a path that calls the core of their being. Those who have seen through the false rewards of our material culture, but still feel burdened by the weight of expectations to conform to it. And the sensitive, particularly men, attuned to the suffering of other people and beings, the harsh realities of the world, the role they play, the guilt that goes along with the privilege they never asked for, and struggle to deal with it all and try and make something better in the process.
Evelyn is a licensed Psilocybin Facilitator, Preparation, and Integration Coach. She has 25 years of experience with psychedelics, helping people navigate their expanded consciousness and integrating their experiences afterward. Personally, she has worked with psychedelics on her own depression, addiction, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and PTSD. This work, along with lots of time in nature helped her to build a happy, authentic life filled with love and creativity.

Evelyn's Background
Evelyn studied psychology, sociology, anthropology, and philosophy, worked as a peer counselor with at-risk youths, and earned a degree in Social Sciences from Portland State University. She feels fortunate to have learned from experienced guides, mentors, counselors, Indigenous leaders, and her mother, a classically trained therapist.
Upon the legalization of psilocybin-assisted therapy in Oregon, Evelyn became one of the first people to acquire OHA-approved training through the Changa Institute. She began working in Jamaica, then in Oregon soon after service centers began opening their doors. She is one of the most experienced facilitators in the state with the legal model of psilocybin
Evelyn's Approach
Megan has been exploring healing and self-awareness through meditation, nature, yoga, psychedelics, and expressive arts for almost 30 years. Her experiences began with personal experimentation and were validated through the guidance of teachers at the San Francisco Zen Center and the California Institute For Integral Studies in her early twenties. Her effort toward personal growth is ongoing and continues today.
Megan is now a Licensed Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapist and a Licensed Psilocybin Facilitator. She works from a systemic, socially just lens to help others tap into their most authentic expression of self and orient their place in the world so they may feel fulfilled, at peace, and connected.
Megan has a collaborative, non-hierarchical approach and aims to work alongside you throughout your journey to help you access and integrate what is most meaningful to you.
Leslie is a board-certified Family Medicine/Obstetrics physician and Licensed Psilocybin Facilitator. She pivoted her career to offer psychedelic-assisted therapy after working in primary care and obstetrics in the Salem, Oregon, community for over a decade.
As a primary care physician, she witnessed her patients struggle with treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and PTSD and how the current medical system continued to fail as they encountered barriers to care and tried multiple medications without relief. While searching for a better option for her patients, she experienced how psychedelics helped to heal her own trauma and improve her mental health. She wanted to be able to offer this type of healing to her patients, as well.
Driven by her belief that everyone deserves that same level of healing in a way that integrates mind, body, and spirit, she completed the InnerTrek Psilocybin Facilitator Program in December 2023. She continues to be amazed by the parallels experienced in birth work and rebirth work through psychedelics. She believes that the path to healing is reconnecting to our own Inner Healer and beloved Mother Earth.
Details of this retreat
This once in a lifetime journey brings you through enchanted forests, emerald rivers, arid canyons, and a lake in the clouds, as your inner landscape becomes deeply transformed with the incredible powers of magic mushrooms!
Mushrooms and nature just go together, and fortunately Oregon is the place that psilocybin is now legal, because the nature here is on another level!
Crater Lake was once Mt. Mazama, a snow capped volcano, like Mt. Hood, Mt. Shasta, or Rainer. It then erupted thousands of years ago, and left a massive crater in the middle of the mountain, now filled with gorgeous blue water! There truly is no place like it on earth!
Below, the North Umpqua Valley has been sculpted for millions of years by this and other lava flows, and the river that carves through it. Massive rock spires line the river canyon, which is blanketed by an enchanted feeling Pacific Northwest Forest. We camp along the river 2 nights so you can fully integrate your Psychedelic Journey.
Eric has a background in wilderness therapy and a master's in Ecopsychology, and recognized this river and the journey with it as the ideal place to do something like this for years before the opportunity became available. The rafting shifts you into a flowing state of consciousness, not getting in vehicles or being on screens will allow you to create new mental patterns. And you can decide how to deepen into the nature connection portion of the experience.
This journey is done in a group setting. You are able to meet the group online beforehand and process some things that arise if you chose. We hold online groups seasonally, as well as one group prep just before the journey. Plus, you will also have access to the larger online medicine community for real-world bonds and further integration opportunities!
Journey Flow:
Upon booking, you will go through the initial exploration process, to make sure the fit is right for everyone.
You'll be part of a group and preparation session, and have an individual one. You will also have access to seasonal groups, depending on how early you sign up.
Day 1 - Smith Rock
Our first stop is the famous Smith Rock, an arid canyon on Oregon's desert side of the Cascade Mountains. Eric and the team of licensed psilocybin facilitators will hold our first in-person circle here. This is a chance to share what you are bringing into the journey, and witness others sharing their stories. You can go for a 5 mile day hike, or relax by the river and talk more. Being in nature during the preparation process for psilocybin helps to open the conscious experience, and ground you.
In the evening, we will stay in shared accommodations in the Bend area. We'll have yoga and hold another circle in preparation for the upcoming journey. You can also meet with your facilitator privately.
Day 2 - Medicine Day
We wake up with a light breakfast and optional yoga and then move to the service center for the magic mushroom part of the experience with your facilitator.
On the second day we will go to a service center in Bend for the psilocybin session.
During the psilocybin session, you will be able to chose your dose, measured in actual psilocybin content rather than mushroom weight. Everything comes from licensed facilities with lab tested potency, and you'll be in the care of our loving facilitators and the small group of folks who are on the journey with you.
You must purchase a facilitated mushroom experience separately, meaning the room and the medicine. The price listed includes our incredible, state-licensed facilitator's services.
We spend the night in Bend again to rest before moving on to our next spot.
Day 3 - Crater Lake
We start the day slowly, with breakfast in Bend. We pack up and move on afterward.
We visit Crater Lake in the afternoon and hang out there. This was a volcano the size of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Hood, or Mt. Shasta that erupted and blew its entire top off. Now, a massive, deep lake sits in the center of the mountain, a place unlike anywhere else on earth! It's a great spot to sit and let the magic of the place sweep over you as the gust of the wind sweeps across the lake. There's also an optional hike up one of the peaks.
After our time there, we start our descent into the Umpqua Valley. We set up camp riverside that night. All you need is to bring a sleeping bag or pick from one of our options. This will be our extended time in the natural world, and there will be plenty of chances to share what arises for you.
*We'll cook breakfast and dinner, and you'll have a bag lunch. You can also purchase an excellent lunch at Crater Lake Lodge.
Day 4 - Exploring The Umpqua Valley
The day begins at the campground for breakfast, and we check out the waterfall-lined North Umpqua Valley.
With fresh springs sprouting right out of the ground, a ton of different falls, and even hot springs on the side of the river. There's more to do here than we have time for!
In the afternoon, we launch the rafts on the river for the first two days. The North Umpqua, a.k.a. the Emerald Jewel, is an incredible river lined by the iconic PNW forests that Oregon is famous for! It's a class III, beginner-friendly river yet still exciting, with plenty of places to play and swim. Being on the river invites a conscious flow and plenty of excitement!
That night we camp the riverside. We have a final circle, and people choose how they spend their last night (in community, by themselves in this deep, gorgeous nature, or a mix).
*All meals provided.
Day 5 - Finish Rafting and Return
On the final day of this epic journey, we start with breakfast, have a final circle at camp, and raft through the morning. We close with lunch at the delicious Steamboat Inn or snacks on the road. We then take you back to either Bend or Portland.
*Breakfast Included
It’s happening now – and we’d love for you to be a part of it.
