Rae Okino is a trauma informed holistic wellness practitioner specializing as a Certified Somatic Facilitator, Reiki & Qi Gong Master, Sound Healer, Somatic Laughter pioneer and Somatic Coach. Through these modalities, Rae joyfully holds space for balance, healing, and self-discovery for clients and groups seeking to be embodied, empowered & expressed
Details of this retreat
Picture this – a one-of-a-kind, magical spot nestled by a natural warm spring, surrounded by greenery in the heart of the Mojave Desert. It's like stumbling upon a hidden gem, a mini paradise where you can unwind and reconnect with nature. The star attractions? Our very own warm spring rock pools are carefully crafted near the bubbling spring using local rocks and a massive boulder as the centerpiece. Conveniently nearby, you'll find potable water, flushing toilets, and instant hot water showers on site. The property has the closest access to the Deep Creek Hot Springs, with the trailhead right on the property. The rigorous 40-minute hike to reach the hot springs is well worth the effort, with six lithium hot spring pools waiting for you when you get there (no sulfur smell). A Creek to cool off is located on the Pacific Crest Trail
Schedule
Each participant has the autonomy to choose what they want to participate in.
Friday- Arrive in afternoon, get set up and chill- group dinner
Saturday- Meditation, Breakfast, Guided hike with Lymphatic Qi Gong, free time, Dinner, Sauna & Somatic Dance.
Sunday- Breakfast, Yoga, Free time, Somatic Laughter, Lunch, Free time, Dinner, Campfire with s’mores and serenade.
Monday- Breakfast, meditation and yoga, pack up and leisurely leave.
Friday- Arrive in afternoon, get set up and chill- group dinner
Saturday- Meditation, Breakfast, Guided hike with Lymphatic Qi Gong, free time, Dinner, Sauna & Somatic Dance.

Directions Getting Here:
From the I-15, Exit Ranchero or Main St. in Hesperia, head east about 8 miles to Rock Springs Road.
Drive east on Rock Springs Road about 4 miles, and go past the 4-way stop at Kiowa Road, where it turns into Roundup Way.
Follow Roundup Way 2 miles, turn left on Central Rd.
Drive North on Central for 1/2 mile, then turn right on Ocotillo Way.
Drive about 3 miles East on Ocotillo Way, then
Turn right onto Bowen Ranch Rd.(a dirt road) and follow south for 6.2 miles
After 2.5 miles, keep RIGHT at the Coxey Truck Trail split.
Drive over & past a cattle guard at mile 4
Our entrance is 6.2 miles down Bowen Ranch Rd from Ocotillo Way. You will see a "Bowen Ranch" sign hanging on telephone poles at our entrance & a tall metal water tank on the hill.
If you see an old shack cabin, turn around! You are at the wrong place! We are another 1/2 mile further down Bowen Ranch Road.
Remember to keep right at the 3 way split just before our entrance.
A 4 wheel drive is NOT necessary to drive here unless it just snowed or rained for several days.

Accommodation
We have 8 shared Glamping spots available! When you arrive, a huge tent will already be set up for you. This 300 sq ft double lined canvas tent is furnished with a 22" tall deluxe queen size air bed, 2 cots, a sofa, metal locker, indoor tables, chairs and 2'x3' plastic shelves. The mattress is kept covered, with pillows, linens, and extra blankets stored in a locker in the tent if needed. The tent can accommodate 4 guests inside. You will be sharing it with 3 other people, 4 total. The spacious yard has outdoor chairs, a picnic table, a bbq (fuel included), and a fire pit. There is also a 2-burner camp stove with a pot, pan and basic utensils to cook with, as well as disposable plates and utensils. Potable water spigots, flushing toilets and instant hot water showers all nearby. This property is off-the-grid and uses solar powered battery banks or a diesel generator for electricity. The tent has solar lighting inside and outside in the surrounding yard. A battery power pack is available for charging and powering up small electronics for free. There is an indoor propane heater with 1 canister of fuel for chilly nights. If you are wanting to be more secluded and away from the group, it is a very short drive to the Private Hot Spring Oasis (main camp where meal and activities will take place). Bring your tent or Camper vehicle. 4 spots available here. This site has its own private spring pool to cool off in, just for you and your guests to enjoy all to yourselves. This unique site was built in a secluded valley next to a natural spring, creating a mini oasis in the Mojave Desert, as well as a beautiful sanctuary for those wanting to relax and get back to nature. The main attraction at this site is the beautiful rock work that has been done at the site on the 1950's era building and the foundation of the cabin sits on. The beautiful rock pool that has been built near the source of our property's warm spring. Just steps away from the beautiful rockwork of the spring pool is a patio area with outdoor seating and a gas BBQ grill, shaded by a pergola. A small shell of a cabin sits at the top of a rustic stone structure that provides a bit of shade and shelter from the elements at the ground level, with a rooftop patio deck that sits above. There is a picnic table and an outdoor fire pit at the site as well, and a private bathroom with a hot shower is located about 200 feet away by the site's parking area. Due to the long steep grade of the driveway, vehicles are not permitted to be driven into the spring site, and must park in the designated area located about 200 feet away. Potable water spigots, flushing toilets and instant hot water showers all near-ish.
