Six days immersed in a unknown dimension of bliss and love between jungle and ocean, surrounded by nothing else than just nature sounds, hummingbirds and other magical creatures, accompanied at every moment by Mother Ayahuasca who will show you what your life really means and will gently guide you towards your best expression of yourself, in order to be in alignment and therefore in joy, peace, love, abundance and completeness. In this energetically special environment and supported by different powerful medicines, you will experience a physical, mental, emotional and astral cleansing; your body will feel and look healthy, strong and beautiful, and so will your mind.

MADREDIOSA is a property immersed in the jungle, seven minutes walking by the sea. You are going to have your own bedroom and your own bathroom, and you'll be sharing the kitchen, the open lounge and the exotic garden with Mar and her sixteen years old daughter. All the ceremonies take space in the Maloca, designed for this purpose. Mar will welcome you completely in her life and social activities, so that you'll be part of the Puerto Viejo community for the entire time. You will take part in extra events and activities only if you want so. Mar will take care of you as a mother and a sister, making sure you feel comfortable at every moment.

After registering and paying your deposit through Retreat Guru, I will schedule a call with you to confirm your attendance. If our retreat is a good fit for you, the next step will be to send 50% of the remaining amount through PayPal which won't be refundable.

Payments made through Retreat Guru do not include the cost of: plant medicines, psychedelics or similar products. However, the remaining costs of the retreat price paid to Madrediosa include all ceremonies, services, private accommodation, guidance, and bicycles.

🌴 1st day: Arrival between 2.00pm and 4.00pm; 5.30pm Rapé ceremony, optional.
🐍 2nd day: 6.00 pm 1st Ayahuasca ceremony.
🌊 3rd day: integration and free time.
🐍4th day: 6.00 pm 2nd Ayahuasca ceremony.
🌊 5th day: integration and free time.
🤗 6th day: check out 10.00am, see you next time 🩵

*It rarely happens, but sometimes you will share the ceremonial space with one other person. Mar will let you know in advance.

From the San Jose airport you can travel to Puerto Viejo by flight, shuttle, bus or car.
I will pick you up at Caribbean's Chocolate and Coffee on the main street. Just 7 mins walk away from our location.

Accommodation

Private room and private bathroom. Community kitchen. Cold water (healthier, and hot water not necessary 😉). Access to all the kitchen and lounge area, garden and Maloca. Pure abundant water from the land, drinkable. Bicycles included! 🚲😉

Madrediosa is located a 7-minute walk from the beach and a 10-minute bike ride from downtown Puerto Viejo, while at the same time being immersed in the jungle. Surrounded by lush wild nature, monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds, beautiful butterflies, and tropical flowers, it is a magical place to reset, be reborn, heal, connect with Mother Earth, and discover a new part of yourself.

Madrediosa Retreat Experience

We had an absolutely incredible experience at Madrediosa. From the moment we arrived, we felt a deep sense of peace—the environment is beautiful, grounding, and filled with positive energy. It’s a truly special space that feels intentionally created for healing, reflection, and connection.

The ceremony itself was beyond anything we could have imagined and ended up being a life-changing experience for both me and my boyfriend. We came in with open minds, but what we experienced went far beyond our expectations. It brought deep emotional clarity, powerful insights, and a sense of renewal that’s hard to fully put into words.

Throughout the entire journey, we felt completely safe, supported, and cared for. The guidance during the ceremony was intuitive and reassuring, allowing us to fully trust and surrender to the process. Even outside of the ceremony, the host was present, compassionate, and genuinely invested in our well-being, which made the experience even more meaningful.

Since then, we’ve both noticed a deep inner shift—more clarity, emotional openness, and a stronger connection to ourselves and each other. There’s a lasting sense of peace and understanding that we now carry into our daily lives.

Madrediosa…. This was the highlight of my 20 day Costa Rica trip.

I booked the 6-day private aya medicine retreat on retreat guru. I don’t know what I was expecting, but I wasn’t prepared to step into such a warm, welcoming and vibrant oasis to be able to call home for a week.

The space itself is simple, but beautiful and intentional. The location is incredible. Super peaceful, deep jungle vibes but you can still hear the waves rolling in at Playa Cocles and you can walk into town. Perfection.

Mar, the host and spirit guide, is the best part of it all. She is a joyous lunatic in all the best ways ❤️ . Such an incredible light of a human being, vibrant, fun energy and made me feel not only welcome but genuinely cared for the whole time. We spent days together, got to meet a handful of her amazing friends and she made the experience something I will never, ever forget.

It was the perfect blend of holding space for my emotions, lifting my spirit up to appreciate the beauty all around us, and LOTS of laughter. I did the 6 day aya medicine retreat. If i could do it all again i would have stayed there the whole time. It was so intimate and genuine. I am so glad I chose Madrediosa over the large group retreats in CR. If I could do it all again i wouldn’t change a thing, except maybe never leaving lol.

All of Costa Rica was beautiful and fun, but this was my little utopia and I truly miss it already. I will absolutely be coming back just to visit Mar and Madrediosa.

Transformative Experience

Madrediosa is a peaceful and beautiful place surrounded by a natural chorus from the jungle. It was so calming to sit, listen, and watch the hummingbirds, butterflies, agoutis, and frogs.

This was one of the most profound experiences of my life. The journey led me to reframe several traumatic events which helped me to feel less anxiety and fear in my daily life. I became aware of negative thought patterns that were keeping me stuck. I feel more connected and more trusting of my intuition. I had lost my connection to my inner wisdom and this experience reconnected me to my higher self. In the past I was consumed by worry and fear and would often imagine the worst outcome in any given situation. I have since shifted. The negative thoughts aren’t gone, but I am aware of them and know that it isn’t reality and that I can choose to be present instead of spiraling into a panic. It was a very beautiful and meaningful experience that went beyond any expectation that I had going into it.

Mar is the absolute best guide we could have asked for! She is gentle yet direct and so very knowledgeable. She helps put you at ease and helps you to feel safe and cared for at all times. Before we arrived we told Mar a little about things we wanted to work on, and she helped us to know ahead of time about foods and lifestyle choices that we should avoid for a few weeks in order to have the best possible experience. From the beginning of our visit she embraced us and helped us to feel welcomed and even introduced us to her family and friends. During the ceremony Mar was there checking in to make sure that we were ok and to offer guidance when we needed it. The ceremony felt magical as Mar would play drums and bells and sing and those sounds would somehow weave into whatever was happening in my mind. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to meet Mar and to go through this experience with her as our guide. I had the experience that my soul needed.
