Retreat Highlights

  • We will immerse ourselves in the jungles of Peru, specifically in Iquitos, at the “Chicuruna”
  • Shamanic Spiritual Camp. This retreat is led by the experienced healer and vegetalist Don
  • Luis Panduro, one of the most respected and renowned healers in the Peruvian Amazon.
  • During this unique experience, you will have the opportunity to receive the medicine of master
  • plants and the guided wisdom of this authentic healer and traditional jungle vegetalist-
  • We will take refuge in the wisdom of silence, seeking to access the world of the unconscious
  • and our lower nature, allowing us to receive healing through the mystery and wisdom of the
  • jungle, the icaros, the spirit of the master plants, and the baths of herbs and flowers. It will be
  • a deep process of observation and healing—a first encounter with the wisdom and mystery of
  • the jungle. This experience will transform our path and inspire our lives, showing us that the
  • healing we seek lies within nature and our hearts.
  • The diet begins with a plant and flower bath, whose purpose is to purify our physical and energetic
  • bodies of external distractions and prepare us to be more receptive to the spirits of the plants. The
  • master plant diet is formalized with the first ayahuasca ceremony. Don Luis, through his prayers and
  • icaros, will connect with the spirits of the plants that will begin to be dieted on that first night, with the
  • power and guidance of Ayahuasca.
  • The concept of dieting in Amazonian cultures involves learning directly from the plants you are dieting,
  • receiving messages for your own healing. Embarking on a diet requires courage and determination.
  • This retreat is for people committed to transforming their lives and the lives of others. It will be an
  • opportunity to open our hearts and receive the deep and subtle messages of the spirit of the forest,
  • the master plants, and the animals..
  • Specific master plants have their own characteristics, some help us to open our heart and emotions.
  • Others root us, centre us and give us strength, others help us to heal addiction problems, depression
  • or heal imbalances in our body such as stomach problems, rheumatism, among others. The spirit of
  • the plants we eat cleanses and purifies our bodies, elevating our thoughts and opening our hearts to
  • receive the messages of nature and our spiritual essence.
  • The success of a jungle diet lies in the ability to take responsibility for one’s own physical, mental,
  • and emotional condition. Deep detoxification and radical changes in certain habits and structures
  • require considerable strength, will, and faith in the Master who is guiding the path of the diet, as well
  • as in the message of the spirit of the plants working through him and within oneself.
  • During our days of retreat and communion with the medicinal plants, we will seek to access the world
  • of the unconscious, our lower nature and the realm of fears, emotions and beliefs that condition us,
  • in order to find clarity and inner strength.
  • SILENCE will be the most important aspect during the diet. It could be described as a “shamanic
  • vipassana,” a process of transformation that takes place through isolation and silence. In this way,
  • the spirit of the master plants to be dieted can be contacted and felt in a more intimate way. During
  • the retreat, conversation or socializing with others will NOT be permitted. Words will only be used
  • during meetings with Don Luis Panduro. Starting on the 7th day, we will lovingly and carefully
  • integrate words with the participating brothers.
  • Don Luis Panduro works in deep connection with the spirits of the master plants, tobacco and
  • Mother Ayahuasca. Through his guidance and the wisdom of a traditional healer, people can
  • receive the healing benefits that these plants offer in the journey of self-discovery and healing of
  • body and spirit.
  • In his work, Don Luis also works with psychotherapy, where in certain situations he must
  • interpret and understand the messages and symbolism of the information delivered by the
  • spirit of the plants, and in this way be able to guide the patient so that he or she can receive the
  • transformations that the plants propose and can go through it with peace of mind.
  • Don Luis Panduro is also recognised for his work and repertoire of sacred chants or Icaros which
  • are used during the sessions as a means to ask for protection, or to invoke the spirit of the healing plants he is working with.

Details of this retreat

During this retreat, open to both men and women, we will retreat for 10 days into the Peruvian jungle, guided by the experienced healer and vegetalista Don Luis Panduro. There, we will embark on a profound dieta with the master plants, immersing ourselves in their wisdom and healing power.

SILENCE will be the most important aspect of the dieta. It could be described as a "shamanic vipassana," a transformative process that unfolds over the days through isolation. By disconnecting from external distractions and the chaotic energies of everyday life, we create the necessary space for introspection and healing.

The dieta is an ancestral tradition of the Amazon, practiced for generations by healers seeking to cure through the mystery and medicine of the master plants. Each plant has its own spirit and unique wisdom. Some help us open our hearts and release emotions; others ground us, center us, and strengthen us. There are plants that guide us through deep detoxification and purification processes, both physically and emotionally.

The more we cultivate silence, the more deeply we can feel and listen to the messages, the ícaros, and the whispers of the spirit of the plants. Their energy touches our body and heart in subtle yet powerful ways. Master plants are wise, loving, and generous. They share their teachings with those who approach them with humility, love, and respect. Read More
