About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Hi! I'm Theresa Ruggles! I've been teaching movement classes since 2011. I'm certified in Pilates, TRX, Barre, and Yoga. My Comprehensive Pilates certification is through Balanced Body, but I also have other certifications through CAYA New York and Barre Intensity. As an E-RYT 500 Yoga Alliance instructor, I have a multitude of yoga certifications including vinyasa, children’s, teen, trauma-informed, restorative, and chair yoga. I am also a certified Pilates Suspension Method Instructor.
I emphasize the importance of the mind-body connection, choreographing movement with breath as a dancer might choreograph steps with music. In my personal practice, I have always found movement to be meditative and I enjoy guiding students towards the meditation aspect of movement in their practices as well.
