About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Ellanah first discovered Yoga as a teenager. It was later when she began her studies of Anthropology at the London School of Economics that it became a fundamental part of her life. Yoga was a catalyst in transforming her lived experience from disconnection to connection and igniting a deep passion for exploring how we can live deeper from the Heart and deeper in harmony with the natural world that we are an inseparable part of.
Her devotion to Yoga has taken her around the world learning from different teachers and lineages, exploring the common thread of Unity that pulses at the heart of all teachings. Her sunshine infused classes explore the flowing dance between breath and movement; cultivating greater space and presence within our whole being and connecting to a sense of being moved by something greater than the mind. Ellanah is devoted to sharing all that she does from a place of reverence and remembrance of the sacredness and mystical wisdom of our internal landscape and beyond.
Awaken with Yoga
Ellanah’s daily yoga classes support you in connecting deeper home to your body, your breath and your compassionate Heart. We will explore mindful, breath-guided movements that awaken a sense of presence, expansion and embodied wonder. Shifting from doing to an inspired state of being, from thinking to feeling, and from disconnection to connection.
Classes support all levels of practitioner; whether it is your first time stepping onto a mat or if you have been practicing for years. Meditation, Pranayama and Intention will be interwoven to support you in balancing your nervous system and connecting with a practice that expands beyond Asana (physical postures). Each class is a container to invite you home to you, home to the beauty of this moment, home to Life.
Rebirthing Breathwork
Rebirthing Breathwork is a gentle yet powerful journey home to yourself. Your natural state of being is one of freedom in the breath, which is experienced as freedom in body, mind & heart. How you breathe is a direct reflection of how you experience life. Every cell in your body breathes and if left to be you will exist in a state of dynamic stillness; open & alive to the moment and uninhibited by past experiences.
During session we work with a circular breath to ignite your innate life force energy, and in doing so bring to the surface all that has been left unintegrated from over your lifetime. It is these unintegrated experiences that silently supress your life force energy and inhibit living life to its fullest and freest.
Sometimes sessions can be incredibly blissful, softening you into states of deep love and oneness, other times they can be emotionally challenging as you breathe into emotions that are ready to be felt and moved. The breath will only every take you as deep as you feel to go and the beauty of it is that your breath is always here with you whenever you need. Your breath is life and it is shared with all of life.
Oftentimes the breath can take you back to your own birth and time in the womb, the time when your earliest imprints were received. Rebirthing sessions can help to transform limiting beliefs imprinted from this time and Rebirth you in the here and now. How you breathe is a direct reflection of how you experience life, and so the breath is a clear mirror to awaken greater self-awareness and transform all that is limiting your highest potential.
