Escola Regenerativa de Forniçô

Escola Regenerativa de Forniçô is a cooperative-run centre for regenerative learning in rural Portugal.
Born from the search for a “lost village,” it emerged through the collective restoration of an abandoned place.
We learn not by starting from scratch, but by reviving what already exists — land, ruins, memory, and relationship.
The village itself is our classroom, and regeneration is our method.
We reconnect education with soil, story, craft, and community life.
Through agroecology, natural building, traditional skills, and holistic health, learning becomes embodied and practical.
Rooted in sustainability, community, and creativity, we cultivate belonging and shared responsibility.
In regenerating place, we regenerate new possibilities for how we live, learn, and create together.
