The CSA retreat
Hello Hazon,

I highly admire Janna's farming. It is well worth getting a share!

As for retreating, the walk in cooler is quite refreshing and I often take a mini retreat in the walk in cooler to eat some snap peas or cherry tomatoes before my kids get them. Once my bag is filled I beat a quick retreat home to whip up our weekly Thursday night veggie stir fry! Then I re-treat myself to the rest of the snap peas or cherry tomatoes, this time sharing of course.

I don't want to give any of the feed-back because we eat all of it quite readily.

Take care!

Rachel

Mission & Vision

Isabella Freedman is located on 400 acres of lake, farm, and woodland in the Connecticut Berkshires. Throughout the year, we offer Jewish holiday experiences, workshops, festivals, farm vacations, retreats, yoga classes, prayer services, and farm-to-table kosher meals. We also have a store stocked with a unique collection of books, music, Judaica, and our own homemade pickles, cheeses, and jams. Over 30 outside groups rent the facility for celebrations, organizational retreats, or corporate gatherings each year.

Isabella Freedman is the home of Hazon, a national Jewish organization focused on sustainability. It is also home to Adamah, a Jewish farming fellowship, and Teva, a Jewish environmental educational program.
