I had a truly transformational experience with Root and Wisdom. First, the location is gorgeous and peaceful. Perfect for doing the inner work I needed to do. Just finished spending a week at one of the Root & Wisdom retreats with my husband. Everything about the retreat was beautiful, from the fresh food, all the workshops, massages and unconditional care and attentive as from all staff & owners. I have heartfelt gratitude for the Root and Wisdom staff who provided incredible support to me during my week in February, 2025, immersed with growth that included the ceremonial plant medicine in pure form, Iboga. Their knowledge combined with their empathetic and compassionate nature amazed me! The selfless assistance was a beacon of hope and their kindness not only eased my worries but also inspired me.

This was my second week in the last two years immersing myself in the gifts of not only the sacred medicine but the powerful dynamic of being with others at a retreat, which includes amazing guides. This experience helped me with self love and these two experiences have fostered more direction and healing in my life than I could have imagined possible.

There is no one that I trust more than Troy, Jo, Maia and their team. I believe their commitment to ongoing science, coupled with spirituality, is second to none. On episode 68 of the “No Fallen Heroes” podcast, the host introduced Troy as a cross between Albert Einstein and Mother Teresa. I would agree wholeheartedly!

The food was the best I’ve had in my life; the facility was beautiful! The hike to the waterfall and swimming under it was exhilarating.

Aside from my week, I’m also excited about the potential with research around Iboga helping people with mental health, cancer and neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. The possibilities around these power plant medicines and the miraculous neuroplasticity of the human brain seem endless.

Thank you Troy, Jo, Maia, Brayan, Zaida and the rest of the staff for blessing me with another week of life transformation that will benefit me and all of the relationships I have in my life. You all are the best! Read More
