Directions
Start from Kona International Airport (KOA):
Exit the airport, and take a right onto HI-19 (Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway) heading north.
Continue on HI-19:
Stay on HI-19 for approximately 30 miles, passing through Waikoloa Village and Puako.
Turn Right onto HI-270 (Akoni Pule Highway):
After about 30 miles on HI-19, you’ll approach Kawaihae.
Turn right onto HI-270 (Akoni Pule Highway) towards Hawi.
Follow HI-270 to Hawi:
Stay on HI-270 for about 21 miles until you reach the small town of Hawi.
Reach Hawaiian Island Retreat:
Continue past Hawi for about 2 miles, and follow the signs to the Hawaiian Island Retreat Center.
Exit the airport, and take a right onto HI-19 (Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway) heading north.
