About this Retreat
Gong Master since 2017 trained with Don Conreaux and Aidan McIntyre, Matteo has a passion for meditation in the Tibetan tradition of Chogyam Trungpa. He has trained extensively in meditation with Reggie Ray and Dharma Ocean, participating and leading several retreats based on cultivating somatic practices and inner stillness. He is also knowledgeable about permaculture, regenerative agricolture, and human rights. He and his team will be more than happy to share their approach to land and water management, homesteading and climate adaptation.
Details of this retreat
The event is not packed with "things to do", leaving plenty of time and space to wander around, sit by the large pond, rest on hammocks, chat or read, even spend time in solitude observing bird and insect life all around. The (seasonal) river bordering the property is perfect for listening to the sounds of nature and enjoying some down time.
Our **Sound Healing and Meditation Retreat** offers a unique opportunity to dive deep into self-care, community life, and spiritual growth. The combination of sound healing, somatic meditation, slow-paced activities and nature connection provides an organic approach to "wellness". Through the practice of non-effort, participants often leave feeling more grounded, centred, and rejuvenated, with tools to maintain their well-being long after the retreat ends.
There will be various moments of communal life such as observing nature, preparing meals together, sitting by the fire just outside the main house, listening to music and sharing personal journeys, experiences and aspirations.
The venue is 100% off-grid, with solar electricity and borehole, composting, and reuse of grey waters from kitchen and showers. The fields and forest all around are managed through regenerative practices and passive water harvesting techniques, hence participants will have a chance to observe, explore and learn.
**Please note**: while we strive to provide a certain level of comfort and beauty, an essential practice of our retreats consists in letting go of city amenities and tune into our simple rural lifestyle. This includes coming face-to-face with (some) shared facilities such as kitchen and showers, as well as dealing with outdoor temperatures and life (birds, insects, wildlife) and weather conditions. Please come with an open mind and let the surroundings 'work on you', all is well!
