About this Retreat
Gong Master since 2017 trained with Don Conreaux and Aidan McIntyre, Matteo has a passion for meditation in the Tibetan tradition of Chogyam Trungpa. He has trained extensively in meditation with Reggie Ray and Dharma Ocean, participating and leading several retreats based on cultivating somatic practices and inner stillness. He is also knowledgeable about permaculture, regenerative agricolture, and human rights. He and his team will be more than happy to share their approach to land and water management, homesteading and climate adaptation.
Details of this retreat
Small-scale nature retreat and glamping experience rooted in slowness, presence, and seasonal rhythm.
Cross the threshold.
Holding the Threshold is the signature retreat of the season, created as an extended pause in the middle of the year. Set in early July, it offers time to stay with transition rather than rush through it — to listen, settle, and consciously hold space for what is changing. Over six days, the retreat unfolds at a slower rhythm, allowing for deeper regulation, reflection, and integration. Through regular sound journeys, grounding practices, time in nature, and shared meals, we cultivate a stable inner ground from which clarity can emerge. This is not a retreat about transformation, but about presence — staying with the threshold itself.
Arrive, recalibrate, and begin the new cycle with clarity and grounded presence.
Cross the threshold.
What Makes This Retreat Special:
Very small group (6–10 people).
This retreat is built around time and continuity. With an extended six-day format, there is space to slow down without rushing toward outcomes or conclusions. Regular sound journeys provide a consistent anchor, supporting regulation and deeper listening over time rather than one-off experiences.
The setting — simple, quiet, and immersed in nature — allows participants to step out of habitual roles and external demands. The schedule is intentionally spacious, offering long windows for rest, walking, and integration. This retreat is less about doing and more about staying: holding space for transition, uncertainty, and subtle shifts to unfold at their own pace.
