Our Woodland Retreats take men back to something many of us have lost — time in the wild, space to breathe, and connection with other men.

Set in a private 12-acre forest in the Lake District, we step away from modern luxuries and return to the basics. Fire, movement, nature, and honest conversation.

Through physical challenges and holistic practices, men are given the space to reset their mind, strengthen their body, and reconnect with themselves.

No distractions. No expectations. Just the wild and the chance to come back stronger.

Schedule

First day/night - traveling, optional volunteer at site, helping each other with
tents/accommodation set up, stocking fire wood, making food and prepping camp for the two
nights.
Finish off the day with journaling, breathwork and chats round the fire
Second day - 7am Start to prepare breakfast for camp, fire going, morning meditation and
stretch,
9/1pm - 9k walk/hike and cold dip (optional),
1/4pm - time in camp, unwind, chill, food, have time to yourself however you want to treat this
time,
4/6pm mindset Q&A with Danny and wrestling drills optional, fun competition
Shower and getting ready
Start to prepare the food
7pm unwind time, fire in the woods, breathwork/journaling time
Third day - 7am Start to prepare breakfast for camp, fire going, morning meditation and stretch,
9/10am hike and last chance to connect with each other and nature before we set off back home

Accommodation

The accommodation at Rookhow is simple, comfortable, and designed to support small groups in a peaceful woodland setting. The venue offers 3–4 shared bedrooms within the main building, along with bathroom and washing facilities. There is also the option for participants to camp within the surrounding grounds for those who prefer to stay closer to nature. Inside, the space includes a communal sitting area for relaxing and gathering, a shared dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen where meals can be prepared and enjoyed together. The facilities are practical and welcoming, providing everything needed while maintaining the venue’s natural, back-to-basics atmosphere.

Our men’s woodland retreat will take place at Rookhow, a peaceful off-grid venue set within the natural beauty of the Rusland Valley in Cumbria. The site is surrounded by ancient woodland and open countryside, providing a quiet and private setting immersed in nature. Within the woodland there is a central fire pit area nestled among the trees, creating a natural gathering space, as well as a small stream that gently runs through the forest.
