About this Retreat
Angelica is a Certified Yoga Alliance Teacher, Brain Gym Facilitator, Recreation Technician, Full-Time Caregiver for Grandma, and Lifestyle Teacher.
Angelica has a lot of experience facilitating and teaching different age groups. She mainly has experience in teaching adults. She has a lot of experience teaching chair yoga and a great ability to adapt any posture to each individual. Over the past 7 years, Angelica has explored many forms of movement such as dancing, hiking, Brain Gym, yoga and strength training. Caring for her grandmother gave Angelica the opportunity to learn how to adapt movements for older people. Currently Angelica is focused on taking care of her grandma, teaching Yoga twice per week, organizing and teaching courses for the Art of Living.
Daughter of German immigrants, Anneliese was born and raised in Quebec, learning German, English and French.
At the CEGEP she added Spanish, after which she traveled to Spain and Germany for a year. Back at home, she worked for Lufthansa German Airlines for 10 years. She then had 2 children and took full advantage of her role as a mother.
In 1998 she began her spiritual journey with the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. In 2003 she met Sri Sri and she knew she had found. She did all the Art of Living courses offered to her to become a Sri Sri Yoga teacher in 2008 and then also to teach Art Excel, YES! And the Art of Happiness.
She regularly teaches there and finds great joy and satisfaction.
Melinda Quintal, a certified Yoga Alliance teacher trained in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, creates a collaborative space in her weekly classes. Students often describe feeling like they've landed in an invigorating oasis after each session. Melinda achieves this by actively checking in with her students' needs and preferences, dynamically adapting her classes accordingly.
Beyond her yoga practice, Melinda's passion extends to her work with the Art of Living foundation. Through her teaching, she enthusiastically shares the foundation's vision of a peaceful and stress-free society built upon shared human values. Her dedication extends far and wide, as she has taught courses in Canada, Mexico, Portugal, and Egypt.
Samer has been an active volunteer ever since he encountered the Art of Living Foundation in 2004 while residing in Montreal. From 2015 till 2021, he got fully involved in Educational, Healthcare & Humanitarian projects geared by the Art of Living and its sister's organization (International Association for Human Values) implemented in Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan and benefiting people of various age groups, ethnic background and social status. Enriched by his middle-east exposure, Samer has since returned to Canada and is currently based in the enchanted International Art of Living Center in Quebec province. He dedicates his time in conducting breath, meditation and yoga -related programs.
