🍀Hi, I am Nuria Salgado, a mother, trauma-informed care practitioner, artist & CO-Founder of Alegria Retreats, with over 8 years of experience in guiding people in the psychedelic realm, supporting over 200 people through their experiences. I knew very early that I won't walk the conventional path of sitting in an office, working for someone else. My intuition was strong so I traveled through the world early, lived my dreams as an artist in New York City and studied with indigenous tribes in Brazil. My work is rooted in healing trauma, somatic practices, and enhancing well-being through movement, breathwork, and inner child work. I combine indigenous plant medicine wisdom, that I gained primarily through the connection to Brazilian tribes, with scientific western approaches to create holistic, tailored healing experiences. My journey with psilocybin began 7 years ago where I started guiding psilocybin journey in Europe. Since then I am studying these amazing medicines and cultures to carry it with honor and safety into the modern world. Personal experiences with plant medicine have allowed me to release & understand deep physical and emotional trauma, fostering alignment with my values, a connection to a higher purpose, and more inner trust. I am highly passionate about helping others uncover their inner healer, get in touch with these intelligent plants and overcome psychological blockages, often rooted in childhood. My mission is to culktivate & share love, facilitating healing through ceremonial practices, community, and the wisdom of plant allies. Sinja's journey toward helping others began with a deep desire to make a meaningful impact. Realizing that the traditional school environment and teaching role weren’t her true path, she embarked on a transformative adventure traveling to various countries in search of herself and her true purpose. This journey led her to explore diverse cultures, complete her yoga teacher training, and earn her Reiki Level 1 certification. Through her work with psilocybin, Sinja effectively addressed her anxiety and brought greater harmony to her nervous system. The integration of microdosing further uplifted her outlook on life, nurtured self-love, and deepened her passion for holistic health and spirituality. These transformative experiences inspired her to empower women to heal themselves, embrace their power, and step into their purpose while also educating about the profound potential of microdosing. At Alegria Retreats, Sinja serves as a facilitator, guiding individuals through their personal processes. She also manages retreat logistics and handles much of the behind-the-scenes work to ensure a seamless retreat experience.

Dr. Mona Irrmischer

My background is in (neuro)psychology and I studied the effects of meditation on the brain as part of my PhD at the Vrije University of Amsterdam. To this day, I conduct scientific studies on meditation, breathwork, and psychedelics. Personally, I've been deeply immersed in traditional meditation and healing traditions, as well as modern integrative body-centered psychotherapy and psychedelics. I am working as a freelance psychologist and process facilitator (with and without psychedelics). As an empath I have walked many paths myself. I love to be present and hold space to allow real transformation and honest change. At Alegria Retreats I am responsible for the psychological screening process, being a facilitator at the ceremonies and supporting our participants in their integration process after their psychedelic experience.

My partner and I recently attended a psilocybin retreat with Alan and Louise (aka Lou) through Alegria, and it was an incredibly transformative and beautiful experience for us both. Dealing with stress, anxiety, and past hardships had been a constant struggle, but this retreat provided us with the tools and support needed to begin healing on a deep, emotional level.

Both of us felt like our session was profoundly healing. Alan's expertise in psilocybin medicine was evident, and their presence made us both feel safe and supported the entire time. They were both amazing singers and Alan also played different instruments beautifully during the session. The experience was intense but incredibly liberating. Alan also provided gentle guidance, helping us navigate through challenging moments and offering insights that were both enlightening and empowering.

One of the standout aspects of Alegria was their emphasis on pre meetings, integration and aftercare. The retreat didn't just end when the session was over. We participated in discussions, and it helped us make sense of our experience and a better understanding of what went on.
