Introducing Alexi, the primary teacher at Sonrisa, whose extensive experience and dedication to yoga will enrich your retreat experience. With over 15 years of personal yoga practice and official training recognised by The Yoga Alliance in both Vinyasa and Yin yoga, Alexi is a seasoned and certified yoga instructor. Alexi's class planning is a thoughtful journey, aiming to keep students engaged and inspired throughout the practice. He excels in providing variations suitable for all levels, ensuring that everyone, from beginners to experienced yogis, can benefit from his guidance .
Details of this retreat
Enhance your yoga practice whilst surrounded by beautiful mountains that you can hike to straight from the property. Enjoy healthy, delicious food all prepared for you. Soak in the jacuzzi or chill by the pool, or just take time to relax in one of the many chill areas both in the sun and shade. Finally, sleep well in a comfortable bed away from hussle of everyday life.
Schedule
Day 1: Monday
Arrival from midday, a light lunch will be served and introductions will be conducted once everyone arrives. The first Yin class will start in late afternoon, followed by a short meditation. Dinner is served around 19:30.
Day 2: Tuesday
Starting around 8:00, Vinyasa flow will be practiced followed by meditation, then breakfast will be served. Participants will have free time until lunch. Pose workshops will be advertised for slots in the day. Yin yoga will be practiced in the afternoon, followed by dinner.
Day 3: Wednesday
The schedule will follow the same format as the day before, plus the option to book in a massage (at additional cost) during your free time. Pose workshops will also be advertised.
Day 4: Thursday
After breakfast, there is an option (at additional cost) for a day trip into Calpe to visit the town and beach. Lunch will not be provided but recommendations of restaurants will be given. Transport will bring you back ready for the afternoon Yin.
Day 5: Friday
The schedule will follow the same format as the second day, plus the option to book in a massage (at additional cost) during your free time. Pose workshops will also be advertised.
Kat will be offering a complementary introduction to permaculture talk in the afternoon.
Day 6: Saturday
The day will start as usual but after breakfast, everyone will depart for relevant transfers ready to enjoy the rest of the fin de semana!

From Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC)
Auto Europe to (38.6921187,0.0367678) via A-70 and AP-7 to Benissa, then N-332 towards Calpe, depart N-332, turn right at KM 174 into Benimarraig, then follow road down until you see two palm trees. Turn right into property. The journey takes about 50 mins - 1 hr (89 km).
From Calpe
Follow N-332 towards Teulada, just until the Jalon roundabout, where you turn around and head back via N-332 Calpe road. Turn around in La Estancia buildings car park and continue into Benissa.

Accommodation
There are nine rooms open to guests. Five are premium with an ensuite bath room while four are standard. Most rooms have a choice of a twin or double bed. All rooms have air conditioning and windows provided with mosquito nets. There are also USB plugs, LED lighting, mirror, wardrobe (or hanging space). Some rooms have a chest of drawers and some have direct access to an outdoor space.
