About this Retreat
Libby Nicholaou is a yoga practitioner and founder of the Show Up with Love restorative yoga teacher training in Brooklyn, New York. She is also the author of the Show Up with Love guided journal, which holds the intention to draw us back to our source of love when faced with challenges in relationships and life.
Libby initially connected with yoga as a movement modality and drew closer to the subtle aspects of the practice when she faced health challenges. Her restorative yoga, nidra, and meditation practice enabled her to access empowerment and self compassion in order to lovingly care for her body amidst the discomfort and confusion. Yoga’s teachings in the sutras and upanishads gave her a road map for courageously going inward and understanding how she identified with the different layers and aspects of her being. After nearly a decade, her health has steadily improved and the practices of visualization, movement, breath, reflection, and rest, continue to enrich her life in unexpected ways.
Details of this retreat
Immerse yourself in a supportive environment held by nature and community, as you experience the benefits of restorative yoga and Nidra on this weekend retreat following the Summer Solstice.
Restorative yoga is a practice of compassion. The nature of the practice – gentle, soft, supportive – reminds us how to gently care for ourselves. It offers the chance to turn inward and listen deeply to our true radiant being.
Yoga Nidra is a practice of remembrance. It offers the opportunity to let go of what we see on the outside and open up to our wisdom within. It guides us back to the beauty of who we truly are.
Through practice and community connection, you will experience:
Restorative yoga for removing distractions and connecting with self compassion
Yoga Nidra for remembering your brilliance as an empowered being
Self reflection for clarity and intuitive visioning
You will leave the retreat with practices you can sustainably integrate into your daily life. You will gain a renewed connection with the part of you that you care most about.
