About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

This Future of Education retreat will convene an intimate group of innovative and passionate thinkers from diverse fields to co-create a step change in our educational paradigm, one that will meet the reality of the present and set the foundations for truly positive future.

Thank you for responding to this call to envision what's possible. Your contribution will bring a much needed and deep expertise and care to our shared discussion.

Together we have the opportunity to uplift the experience and training of youth and to impact how prepared they will be to shape the future.

Register here to participate at this important gathering at Menla from February 7-9, 2025.

You will participate with 25 thought leaders, experts in education, contemplative arts, technology, equity, and public policy. We will immerse in small and large group dialogues and activities that will rapidly cross pollinate the best of our ideas, and identify key principles, practices, and even implementation tracks for these ideas to be piloted and refined.

Our mission is to make use of new opportunities advanced technology is bringing, combined with a much needed focus on whole person wellness and purpose. We will bring in wisdom and understanding from a variety of perspectives, coupled with innovative and practical implementation strategies to ensure that the youth of today become the wise, compassionate, and visionary contributors that our future needs.

This Future of Education gathering is co-convened by Bob Thurman, Tony Holland, Jayne Gumpel, Amy Edelstein, and Antonio Vasailey, with the support of other key collaborators.

We are committed to ensuring that funds are not a barrier and will fundraise to cover essential costs as needed.

Weekend retreat stay
The property is on a beautiful, peaceful location.
Nature is all around and sometimes a little too close but you are literally surrounded by woods.

The food was really good and I liked the buffet style and fruit basket.

The gift shop although small had a nice selection of items and I purchased a few fun items.

Since the dining area was on the opposite side of the site from the convention center, a lot of students drove back and forth on the property. I chose the walking paths to get around.

Lovely
I had a fascinating and enlightening experience during an “Energy squared Reiki,” class at Menlo this past week. The grounds, rooms, facilities amenities and spa at Menla were all beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The food was delicious and nourishing. I can say only good things about both Menla and the program I attended, and would wholeheartedly recommend both.
