About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

Take a journey into expanded states of consciousness. We invite you to join Dr. Laurane McGlynn, Jeffrey Warren and John Stockberger to experience the remarkable healing potential and therapeutic benefits of Holotropic Breathwork®, a powerful experiential breathing process that allows for self-exploration and healing. With the eyes closed and lying on a mat, each person uses their own breath and the music in the room to enter an expanded state of consciousness. This state activates the natural inner healing potential of the breather, or inner healer, which guides the experience.

In this double breathwork workshop, each person will experience four Holotropic Breathwork® sessions (two as a breather/two as a sitter), shamanic journey (optional), integrative writing practice, sound healing session, nature-based practices, nature spirit mask making, sharing circles, mandala drawing, evening fire ritual and community gathering and a talk on the theory and practice of Holotropic Breathwork.

Whether you are new to HB or highly experienced, this workshop can help you reconnect with your own inner healing wisdom. This workshop is open to new breathers, experienced breathers, those in
the Grof Transpersonal facilitator training program, Grof Legacy Training or anyone interested in experiencing Holotropic Breathwork. For anyone in a psychedelic-assisted therapy training program, this workshop may fulfill your requirement for practical experience sitting for others in expanded states of consciousness. This work is of value to those interested in inner exploration, self-discovery, healing, connection to self and others, expanded states of consciousness and higher insights into spiritual understanding. *Contraindications: pregnancy, serious heart conditions, epilepsy, glaucoma, retinal detachment, history of severe mental or emotional disorders, acute infectious disease, and recent injury or surgery.

Weekend retreat stay
The property is on a beautiful, peaceful location.
Nature is all around and sometimes a little too close but you are literally surrounded by woods.

The food was really good and I liked the buffet style and fruit basket.

The gift shop although small had a nice selection of items and I purchased a few fun items.

Since the dining area was on the opposite side of the site from the convention center, a lot of students drove back and forth on the property. I chose the walking paths to get around.

Lovely
I had a fascinating and enlightening experience during an “Energy squared Reiki,” class at Menlo this past week. The grounds, rooms, facilities amenities and spa at Menla were all beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The food was delicious and nourishing. I can say only good things about both Menla and the program I attended, and would wholeheartedly recommend both.
