"I moved from Sydney to Abu Dhabi in Sept 23 and when I got an unexpected week of national holidays for EID in April, I decided to book a trip. Tuscan Fitness was the bom!! I'm so delighted that I picked this one. The right combination of yoga (twice a day) wine tasting, olive oil tasing, local markets visit: each day is curated by Alix and the Tuscan fitness team to give you a variety of thing to do, or you can stay in the beautiful accommodation and soak up the Tuscan sunshine. I did all of the activities on offer each of the day I was there but it's totally optional. The food was outstanding as was the dinner conversation over a vino with the other guests and our fabulous yoga instructor from California.
On the last day we made a dash for my train (I caught it by the way thanks to Alix's husband dropping me off, thank you). Everything went perfectly from the pick up at the train station to the oil tasting with Alix's brother. Thank you Alix & the Tuscan Fitness family."

"I had the most pleasant experience with Tuscan Fitness Yoga+Wine tasting program during Easter Holiday. The contacts with Alix before my arrival were friendly and informative. They were all helpful upon my arrival at the train station and later at the check in. The whole team was very nice and welcoming. The hotel is in a wonderful setting, with beautiful views of the Tuscan hills. The other participants were equally interesting and we were able to spend many hours enjoying the program, hikes, yoga classes, meditation sessions, visits to the neighbour small villages, wine tasting. And all the time the connections with Tuscan Fitness team was very pleasant and interesting. The correct balance between periods of activities and periods of rest resulted perfectly! I will for sure return in other opportunities!"

"I loved this retreat- it was located such a gorgeous setting, with a villa and pool overlooking the rolling hills of Tuscany. I never got tired of the views. My room was cozy and very clean, and I was lucky enough to be facing the pool. Yoga classes were challenging on some days and relaxing on others. Also I highly recommend the massage by Elske, one of the yoga teachers. We visited 2 wineries, one of which had yet another gorgeous view. Food was also very good...just a bit difficult to find gluten or dairy free options. But delicious overall. I met some great women (and men) from around the world and we had some very interesting and stimulating conversations over dinner every night. I would highly recommend this retreat!

"The Costa Rica Retreat was the most spectacular start to the New Year! Tuscan Fitness staff is amazing--highly skilled and exceptionally professional. I was certified to teach yoga in India and am always hesitant of taking classes or doing retreats with new instructors. These women are 100% the real deal, you will not be disappointed no matter your skill level! They also expertly tailored the New Years program to set us up to mentally and physically make the most of 2024. The food was also epic.

"I stayed for 4 nights with Tuscan Fitness in October. It was a faultless break. It's really relaxed and I really enjoyed eating with the other guests for the amazing meals. The food, company, beautiful setting and great teachers make this a very special place. I love that you can do as much or as little as you want to. I was on my own and would really recommend this to solo travellers as well as any others. The weather was a little mixed when I was there so looking forward to going back when the yoga is outside. The views are stunning. "

Accommodation was excellent, food absolutely delicious with huge variety, instructors for yoga, fitness and hiking were incredibly knowledgeable, motivating and fun. The group of people we met and shared the whole Tuscan experience with were just wonderful too!
The weekly activity schedule was a great balance between yoga and fitness sessions, wonderful hikes into the nearby countryside, and unique visits to a local olive oil and wine tasting sessions which were all brilliantly organised.
We cannot wait to return in 2024 "

"I had such amazing time on my first visit, in August 2022, that I did something I absolutely never do - I took a chance on a repeat visit. It did not disappoint.
The weather wasn’t the same scorching August heat, but this had no detrimental impact on the atmosphere. I was fortunate that the group were so easy to be around and so encouraging too. I can honestly say, I haven’t belly laughed like that in such a long time!
The yoga sessions were a varied .mix of different styles, the teachers knowledgeable, and the hikes even more beautiful in autumn. Dave shared his vast knowledge of the local history and wildlife. And of course, the food was delicious…possibly a bit too delicious!
It’s rare - and bittersweet - to return from a holiday wishing I could turn straight around and fly back:; however, I shall try to keep the, ‘retreat high’ with me, as I return to my day to day life.

"This is my second time visiting Tuscan Fitness and I can’t recommend it enough.
Everyone involved is super friendly and will always try to accommodate everything needed to make your stay perfect. I travelled with a friend, but this is a great environment for people who want to travel alone; you eat, yoga and hike with other tuscan Fitness guests but also get time to be by yourself - the other guests that we’ve met on both trips have all been really lovely and have made the holiday even more special.
The stay includes breakfast lunch and dinner; the food is amazing, they have great pasta, meat dishes, salads and some not so healthy Italian desserts!
The rooms are clean and comfortable, the yoga sessions are varied and the hikes take you through the stunning surroundings - all activities are perfect for any fitness level and you can take part in as much or as little as you want.
You leave with a sense of calm and relaxation, and the desire to start planning your next visit as soon as you arrive home!"
"If you want to unwind, tucked safely away in nature - this is your best option. Yoga teacher was great, all other activities ( which are included in price, but optional of course) were amazing, my favourite was the daily hike with David. Food was delicious, down to earth and with local products. I went by car, but everybody else came by train and I got the impression that the shuttle was well organized and flexible.

"This retreat fitted my needs perfectly - flexible dates, friendly owners, plenty of activities to get involved in and enough time to soak up the Tuscan relaxed way of life and killer views. This place is an absolute haven. The food was fantastic too, with plenty of options. I came back home 4 days later feeling stronger mentally and physically.
The train from Florence was very easy and as soon as I arrived a friendly face was there to pick me up. On the last day they even arranged to get the local taxi driver to pick up my bag and meet me down the hill so I could squeeze in an olive oil tasting before I left. The hikes were beautiful and full of anecdotes about the region’s history and the local flora/fauna. If I was being very picky, I’d ask for more comfortable pillows, but aside from that it’s just a huge thank you from me and I hope to be back soon!"

"It was my first Yoga retreat and I loved it! The place is on a hill near Montevarchi. You can get there by train from Florence and they pick you up. All the people from the owner, yoga teacher to the waiter were really friendly and professional. There is a large selection of activities and you can choose what fits for you. I highly recommend the retreat and will come back next year!"

"I enjoyed my August, 2022 yoga retreat with Tuscan Fitness so much that I returned again this September, 2023. And I hope to return again! Having yoga twice a day, plus opportunities to hike, have pilates or some type of fitness, wine tasting and just being in the beautiful surroundings is wonderful. The meals are delicious; the people are kind and helpful. Being able to join and leave the yoga retreat when it is convenient for you is ideal. I enjoyed meeting people from different parts of the world.

Menu is great but choosing the same for lunch and dinner would get a little repetitive and lunch choices a little on the heavy side as main menu.
service was good if sometimes seemed a little like we were an inconvinience to the restaurant in comparison to other guests.

"This was mine and my friend's third visit to Tuscan Fitness and it won't be our last. As usual the accommadation was clean and comfortable - typical rustic Italian - with kettle and fridge too which isn't always the case in Italy. The yoga instructors Lucy and Dahria were both great - we learnt alot from them and the practices were interesting and challenging - the alignment workshop was particularly helpful.
The food was amazing - better than last year we thought with lots of choice at breakfast and good wholesome Tuscan dishes for lunch and dinner - plus the inclusion of desserts this year at dinner was welcome! We loved the walk to the Abbey and also the Vineyard trip - so beautiful and interesting.
My only recommendation would be to have mosquito repellent / bite cream etc available to guests if required - a minor point - but really it was a perfect holiday - just not long enough! "
"The amazing view from the yoga platform is enough in itself to calm and uplift you but the whole experience was great. The yoga teaching was even better than I'd expected. Both Lucy and Daria's classes were a perfect balance of challenging and restorative and they were each so good at gently giving clear direction and help if you wanted. Also great to have the option of the other fitness classes - really glad I got the chance to try Pilates and circuit, both of which would love to do again. The hikes and other activities were also really enjoyable and the whole holiday is extremely well-organised without ever feeling regimented. Everyone at Tuscan Fitness is so friendly and helpful as well! Not to mention the lovely surroundings of La Forra, it really is the textbook image of Tuscany and its rolling hills. The memory of watching the sunrise over the misty hills and then doing morning yoga with the view will be something I never want to forget!
After reading the other 5* reviews I wasn't sure if it would live up to my expectations, but it did! "
"I had the best time with Tuscan fitness. The venue was breathtaking and the hosts were wonderful, they couldn’t do enough for you. The food was great, all fresh and huge portions. There wasn’t anything I tried that I didn’t enjoy. I found the balance of activities just right. There was variety of activities with no pressure to carry out all of them and all the instructors were knowledgeable and friendly, adapting their sessions to all abilities. I loved the Hikes and the wine tasting, again the guides for both of these were hugely knowledgeable on their topic. The group of people on the trip were just wonderful, all like minded people with a variety of solo travellers, couples and friends. I was a bit nervous about not fitting in as a relative beginner to yoga but it really did not matter at all. I would recommend it to anyone. Alex and David have clearly put a lot of thought into the company and I found it excellent value for money. Thanks for an amazing experience!"
