About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

Train with some of the top teachers in the circus world! Transform the way you move with this intensive 6-hour a day training programme on silks, hoop and physical theater. Eliane Domanski has been teaching circus arts for over 16 years at the Canadian National Circus School of Montreal and the French National Circus School, being awarded the prestigious Gold Medal from the Parisian Arts Academy in 2020. Justine Arden is a successful international performer and coach, combining circus, physical theatre, dance and live music. Currently co-directing the start-up Gokaï, she also works with many other companies ranging from Cirque du Soleil, Disneyland Paris, La Folie Douce and Parc Asterix to smaller productions such as Minuit Production and music bands like Medz Bazar.

What to expect? On Sunday, your day of arrival, we'll welcome you with a typical Italian 'Aperitivo'. Then you'll enjoy five days of training at our retreat center, offering stunning views from a south-facing hill in Italy's green heart of Umbria. During your free time in the afternoon, take some time to relax in our large pool; discover our property with its' hidden sitting spots, organic garden, wild flowers, olive, fig, apricot, cherry, apple and pear trees; or take one of the walking trails to explore the picturesque Italian countryside, with rolling vineyards, olive groves and a historic town just minutes away. Monday evening you'll be able to do some stargazing with our telescope, Tuesday evening we'll organise an outdoor movie night and Friday evening there'll be a Home Spa. On Wednesday we'll take a break from training to show you Narni, a town dating back to pre-Roman times. Overlooking the majestic Ternana valley, this medieval gem will make for some truly memorable sightseeing. We'll then try some high-quality Italian cuisine for lunch, before taking a dive in the crystal blue mountain water of an oasis in the Nera river. On Saturday we'll end the retreat with a personal performance, combining all that you have learnt, before celebrating our time together with a disco pool party!

We know how important nutrition is, which is why we will be serving nutritious and fresh food every day, wherever possible from our own garden or the direct surrounding area.

Pre-requisites: this is an intermediate/advanced /professional aerial training and you must be able to aerial invert, climb, and aerial hip key for the duration of each day's training.
