Basking in Words: Poetry for a Summer Morning
Basking indeed! This course was a week of soul satisfying poetry reading and enriching conversation skillfully facilitated by Tim Scorer. I laughed, cried, learned, and was moved by the power of words from a diversity of poets and participants. I felt connected to Naramata Centre throughout the week and to my creative centre. I didn't want the course to end. So grateful!

Family Reunion 2018.
Our family from far and wide, had a reunion the second week of July 2018 at the Naramata Centre at Naramata BC with some of us camping and the rest of us in the motel style accommodations. We all had a great experience and a good time in an ideal setting! The staff and the accommodations were great! We plan to go back again.

Mission & Vision

Open to people of all ages, Naramata Centre is an inclusive, welcoming place to connect and deepen in mind, body and spirit. Situated on 23 acres of land on the east shore of Lake Okanagan, the Centre provides a peaceful oasis for children, teens, adults, families and elders to play, relax, grow and be authentically themselves, supported in community.

Naramata Centre draws and inspires people from many paths and walks of life, as a place for learning, sharing, contemplation, personal growth and spiritual renewal. Officially opened in 1948 as a United Church education centre, it has long provided a space for spiritual retreat and reflection, intentional engagement and professional development. The Centre offers a wide variety of programs in music, the arts, health and well-being, leadership, social justice and spiritual nurture.

The essence of Naramata Centre is difficult to capture in words. It is a place where being present and connecting to oneself, others, nature and the Sacred become easier. Come stay at the Centre to experience what we have to offer. Enjoy a program or retreat. Walk our labyrinth and visit our Chapel. Do yoga or play on our beach. Jump into the lake. Snooze or read in the shade under our canopy of trees. Sink into community and laugh or sing. Join others in Sacred Pause or meditate. Explore Naramata village and Naramata Bench wineries. So much to experience...come and discover!
