Three of us used Unicamp as a camping base to hike the Dufferin Hi-Lands of the Bruce Trail over 3 days, 2 nights. We came early in the season, they had just had a weekend of 100 people and school camps had not started so although they were doing some maintenance of trees from the large wind/ice storms in March, it was very quiet during the week (last full week in June). The staff was welcoming and helpful and it was nice to have clean, plumbed toilets, toaster, microwave, coffee maker available to us as well a plugs for charging things. Sites were small (they aren't kidding when they tell you one car and one tent) but well shaded, we did not need any sort of tarp or sun shade. Lots of trees for hanging up ropes, hammocks, etc. The location was right on the Bruce trail, perfect for our adventure.
Do note that there was a bridge out so the GPS sent us North on Prince of Wales road. Prince of Wales road south of the camp is a summer road and very bumpy and difficult, I would recommend only using the road north of the camp. Maybe directions should be sent out while the Mulmur Hills/River Road bridge is being redone summer of 2025.
