About this Retreat
Lindsey is a sound healing practitioner and yoga instructor of almost 20 years. She began her journey in India where she got certified to teach yoga, then eventually went on to complete her Music, Voice & Sound Healing certification at CIIS in San Francisco, CA. Lindsey is passionate about travel and family and has lead international and local retreats in California.
With over 18 years of full-time teaching experience, I guide students through somatic movement, asana, and embodied presence. My classes are unhurried and grounded, offering a steady, strong, and supportive space for students to connect deeply with themselves. Rooted in authenticity and compassion, my teaching honors both the strength and subtlety of the practice.
Before I found my way to the mat, I was a dancer and gymnast—movement has always been my native language. Teaching came as naturally as breath. I hold well over 1000-hours in yoga studies and have continued to evolve through advanced studies and workshops with teachers including Tias Little, Joilie Cash, and Shiva Rea. My background in Holistic Massage Therapy and soul-based coaching also informs the way I hold space, blending structure with intuitive listening.
I’m also a full-time mama to my two-year-old son, Nikko. My little family and I live by the ocean in San Francisco’s Sunset District, where we soak in nature, embrace a slow pace, and surf whenever the waves provide.
This practice—and this life—is all about presence, and I’m honored to share the journey with you.
Details of this retreat
The Listening Body is a day-long somatic retreat designed to support nervous system care, inner attunement, and deep rest. This is an invitation to step out of urgency and into a pace that feels steady, supportive, and true to you.
Held at the beautiful and unique Sacred Owl Land in Corralitos, this intimate gathering unfolds in an indoor yoga shala surrounded by nature. Throughout the day, you’ll be guided through gentle somatic movement and restorative yoga with Sarah, offering space to soften effort and reconnect with your inner rhythm.
In the afternoon, you’ll be led through an immersive sound healing journey with Lindsey, allowing the nervous system to settle and integrate. Lindsey will also prepare a nourishing, organic lunch, thoughtfully crafted to support the practices and pacing of the day.
Beyond the practices themselves, one of the quiet gifts of this retreat is community — being with others in a way that feels unhurried, grounded, and real. No pressure to perform or share more than you wish. Simply space to arrive, be held, and listen inward.
