Samadhi Yoga Ashram offers a comprehensive 500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh for practitioners who wish to develop a deeper understanding of yoga and progress toward advanced teaching. The program combines traditional yogic teachings with intensive practical training, philosophy, anatomy, meditation, pranayama, yoga therapy, teaching methodology, and self-study.

The first part of the program focuses on the *200-hour foundation*, helping students establish a strong understanding of asana, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, anatomy, alignment, and yogic lifestyle. The second part moves into the *300-hour advanced training*, where students explore deeper practices, advanced teaching skills, yoga therapy, subtle-body concepts, and advanced approaches to yoga practice.

The program follows a multi-style approach and incorporates traditional systems including Hatha, Ashtanga, Raja, Kundalini, Karma, and Bhakti Yoga.
*Training Dates & Duration*

The 500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training starts on the *1st of every month* and is a *59-day residential program* in Rishikesh. The training combines a *200-hour foundation program followed by a 300-hour advanced program*, creating one continuous 500-hour learning journey from foundational yoga practices to advanced teaching.

The complete program consists of *500 hours*, combining classroom learning and self-study. The course includes approximately *413 hours of classes and 80 hours of self-study* across the residential training period.

*Residential Accommodation*

The 500-hour program is a fully residential experience, allowing students to stay at Samadhi Yoga Ashram throughout the training. Private and shared accommodation options are available. The residential environment gives students the opportunity to follow a structured yogic routine and experience yoga as a way of life beyond the classroom.

*Daily Sattvic Meals*

The program includes *three freshly prepared vegetarian sattvic meals every day*. Vegan meals are also available. The food is designed to provide wholesome nourishment and support students throughout the intensive daily practice and training.

*Study Materials & Yoga Props*

Students receive printed and digital study materials along with yoga accessories and props, including a yoga mat, bolster, belt, and other practice equipment. A Neti pot and rubber Neti kit are also included.

*Workshops, Excursions & Activities*

The residential experience includes weekly workshops with visiting teachers, excursions to local temples and nearby places of interest, sound healing, Kirtan, and cultural experiences. Students also have opportunities to explore the Himalayan surroundings and experience the spiritual atmosphere of Rishikesh and the Ganges.

*Airport Pickup*

Complimentary pickup from *Dehradun Airport* is included for students joining the residential program.

*Daily Yogic Schedule*

The daily routine combines silence meditation, pranayama, Ashtanga Vinyasa, anatomy, alignment and adjustment, self-study, yoga philosophy, Hatha Yoga, reflection, and evening practices. A typical day begins early in the morning and continues with structured theory and practical sessions throughout the day. Weekly sound healing and Kirtan are also included, along with a Sunday excursion or free day. The schedule may vary according to the season and weather.

*Certification*

Upon successful completion of the integrated program, students receive a *500-Hour completion certificate from Samadhi Yoga Ashram* and become eligible to register with Yoga Alliance USA as an *RYT 500*. The program is registered with Yoga Alliance USA at the RYS 500 level and combines the 200-hour foundation and 300-hour advanced training into one continuous certification pathway.

*Who Can Join*

The integrated 500-hour program is suitable for students ranging from beginner to advanced levels because the first part establishes the foundational 200-hour knowledge before progressing into the advanced 300-hour curriculum. It is suitable for practitioners who want to deepen their personal practice, develop advanced teaching skills, understand yoga more comprehensively, and build a professional path as a yoga teacher.

The 59-day residential immersion provides an opportunity to study, practice, live, and experience yoga in the traditional spiritual environment of Rishikesh while developing the knowledge and confidence required to teach at an advanced level.

Directions

The nearest international airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in New Delhi. From Delhi, the most convenient way to reach Rishikesh is by taking a domestic flight to Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun (DED), which is the closest airport to our ashram.

Jolly Grant Airport is approximately 15–20 kilometers from Samadhi Yoga Ashram. We provide a complimentary airport pickup from Dehradun Airport for our students. Once your flight details are shared with us, our driver will be there to receive you and bring you directly to the ashram.

Alternatively, guests can travel from Delhi to Rishikesh by train, bus, or private taxi. Trains and buses are available from New Delhi to Haridwar, which is about 25 kilometers from Rishikesh. From Haridwar, a short taxi ride will bring you to the ashram.

For those who prefer a direct journey, we can also arrange a private taxi pickup from Delhi Airport at an additional cost. We recommend planning your arrival to Dehradun Airport for the most comfortable and convenient travel experience.
