Details of this retreat
Yoga philosophy course: five days on the history and philosophy of yoga, Wednesday to Sunday, in Rossatz on the Danube, Austria. Recognised by Yoga Alliance as continuing education (YACEP) with 30 hours, and open to interested practitioners with or without previous experience.
WHAT IT IS ABOUT
Where does yoga come from, and what do the old texts actually say? The course traces the development from early and classical yoga through the tantric traditions to Hatha Yoga. We read the central source texts together in translation. The aim is a sound understanding of the ideas behind today's yoga practice and the ability to teach yoga philosophy clearly in your own classes.
