Cybele is a singer, healer, educator, explorer and rejoicer in love!
After many winters studying music in India, Cybele settled in South Korea to teach university English and create a music performance stage and global arts community at a traditional lord's house which she courageously restored. Cybele attributes the most beautiful twists and turns of her life to a Sufi spark kindled while living summers at the Abode in her teens. Cybele is the founding director of the Ureuk World Music House and Sufiana an’Nur, where she represents the Music Activity of the Inayatiyya for far East Asia.
At the Caravan of Love, Cybele plans to guide a music listening visualization experience inspired from her doctoral work in Spiritual Intelligence, and to sing lullabies.
Sarah Latifa is the Head Gardener and founder of the Abode Apothecary at the Abode of the Message. She has been a Sufi all her life, born to Mureeds of Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan. She has a a deep love for the earth and natue and all the gifts we can give to the earth and the earth gives freely to us. She will be leading a flower crown workshop with plants from this sacred land.
Born into a culture where over 75% of the population practices Buddhism, I was immersed in spiritual traditions from the very beginning. By the age of three, I found myself naturally entering deep states of meditation, experiencing silent communion with the natural world both within and around me.
At six, I began secretly joining monks at a local Buddhist temple to practice Shamatha meditation, driven by a quiet yearning for peace and stillness. That same year marked the beginning of my lifelong commitment to peace activism and social service.
As a teenager, I was initiated into Transcendental Meditation (TM) by a revered Indian sage in her nineties—an extraordinary woman who, in deep meditation, would sometimes levitate. My upbringing was steeped in Ayurveda and Yoga, enriched by a native language rooted 75% in Sanskrit and 25% in Pali, connecting me deeply to ancient wisdom.
Over the past 25 years, I have been devoted to the practice of Mindful Walking Meditation, as taught by the beloved Vietnamese Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh. His gentle yet profound approach to mindfulness continues to guide me in every step.
I carry immense gratitude for the opportunity to share healing practices and spiritual insight with communities across the world, always in service to peace, compassion, and the awakening of collective well-being.
