About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

We invite you for a rare opportunity to join Dr. Laurane McGlynn, special guest teacher from Ireland, Geoff Fitzpatrick and guest facilitator from England, Sarah Hirigoyen to experience the remarkable healing potential and therapeutic benefits of Holotropic Breathwork®. In this special topics workshop, we have the extraordinary opportunity to learn about the myth and mystery of Sacred Geometry and participate in the remarkable journey of creating a group sand mandala.

Holotropic Breathwork™ a powerful experiential breathing process that allows for self-exploration and healing. With eyes closed and lying on a mat, each person uses their own breath and the music in the room to enter an expanded state of consciousness. This state activates the natural inner healing potential of the breather, or "inner healer", which guides the experience. This work can support
inner exploration, healing trauma, self-discovery, working with anxiety and depression, connection to self and others and spiritual awareness.

We create a safe and supportive setting with highly trained and experienced Holotropic Breathwork facilitators. In this double breathwork workshop, each person will experience four Holotropic Breathwork® sessions (two as a breather/two as a sitter), a talk on sacred geometry and the process of creating sand mandalas, creation of a group sand mandala, sound healing session, sharing circles, mandala drawing and an evening community fire gathering.

This workshop is open to new breathers, experienced breathers, those in the Grof Transpersonal Training community, Grof Legacy Training community,

Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies or anyone interested in Holotropic Breathwork, Sacred Geometry or the healing nature of mandalas. This workshop is approved by Grof Transpersonal Training for completion of the double breathwork requirements for the online training modules. It is also approved by Grof Legacy Training to meet the breathwork requirements for their
training program.

Peace and serenity
I really enjoyed my stay at menla. I slept well and I liked the classes. The grounds were beautiful too. It reminded me of college. I liked the food and the people were nice too. I think it’s a great place to go if you want to unplug and get away from it all.

Winter retreat
The serenity and beauty of a winter retreat can't be understated. The staff were kind and helpful and the food was amazing.
I had a Thai massage in the yurt that was exceptional. My room as cozy and comfortable in the conference center building- everything you need. The hot tea station was much appreciated.

Love my time at Menla
This was my second visit to Menla and it did not disappoint. The accommodations are lovely and comfy, the food is delish, the staff super friendly and the grounds are simply breathtaking. The retreat, Healing with the Elements: Breathwork, Yoga & Nervous System Reset, and the programs led by Sheila and Jackie were amazing and a little life-changing :)
I spent the whole weekend filled with peace and serenity. I cannot wait to go back!

An amazing experience, as always!
Menla impresses me year after year. The feeling is like none other. Spiritual, safe, calm, even when the outer world is chaos. The staff are not just friendly, but make Menla feel at home and the event seamless, no matter the weather or obstacles that seem to pop up. My members had an incredible experience. We will continue to come back year after year to host the retreat in this magical place!
