"If you are looking for a transformational and awakening experience, please don't walk to Reunion. RUN! What an amazingly beautiful experience that I had for myself and shared with the wonderful people I met there. The staff members in every department were overly accommodating, kind, and knowledgeable. The food was healthy and delicious. The venue and beach were gorgeous and calming. The Shamans were Fantastic. Lastly but Most Importantly, Madre Ayahuasca did her thing. 10 out of 10, highly recommend!
I will certainly return to Reunion if/when I feel called to sit again and I will definitely bring a friend next time....or two! I am forever grateful for the amazing experience! Pura Vida! 🙏🏽"

"I can’t recommend this retreat highly enough, from the pre-retreat preparation to the post-retreat integration and everything in between, the details and delivery were immaculate. The venue was beautiful and the ceremonies were treated with reverence and respect. The leaders and facilitators created a safe space, and provided a range of complementary activities between the ceremonies. Thank you Synthesis 🙏"
"The experience at the Reunion was absolutely out of this world. Literally:)
An earthly paradise, tucked away from the worldly hustle and bustle, surrounded with lush tropical forest, teeming with abundant life, that gives way through winding paved paths to a soft sandy beach washed by the playful waves.
As I start tuning my breath into the melodious rhythm of the ocean waves, as I become mesmerized by a calming murmur of the leaves rustling in the warm salty breeze, as my heart gives way to a spell of the sunset spilling its red warmth into the ocean and the horizon sky; my thoughts melt away, and my soul starts souring freely and joyfully high above and deep inside.
And the magic just begins...
The whole place feels Sacred.
The whole place feels as if it is one Big Soul loving, nurturing and taking care of me, watching for my every through the hearts and hands of all the people and the Sacred Mushroom harmoniously serving the Light there. I can't help but totally surrender and trust, open up deeply touched by Love, I can't help but start healing. I cry, I laugh, I sing along, I transform, I remember...
I am so grateful for the whole experience.
Special thanks to Sheldon, Alia, Kevin, Delia and everyone else who made every little detail of my journey very special.
If you feel the Call, this is your place.
P.S. The Rooms and all facilities are immaculately clean, the property is well maintained, and the food is absolutely amazing - I would buy a cookbook if there were one."
"Reunion is a place of integrity, a beautiful community, a village of people who are dedicated to supporting others on their healing journey. My experience exceeded any expectations that I had. Not only is the location extraordinarily beautiful, the energy of the land is sacred, and most importantly the team at Reunion is the most sacred part of it all. Going into my Ayahuasca retreat feeling supported, held and super safe meant everything to me. The attention to detail around the property and during the entire experience was incredible. Not to mention we had the most delicious meals! I have eternal gratitude for every single person making this experience possible. I know one day I’ll find my way back to Reunion. "
"I had a transformative experience at Arkana Spiritual Center. Each day surprised me with a feeling of more connection to my true self, information for me to continue growing and a the feeling of vibrating on a higher frequency. A lot of love, realization and forgiveness. I loved the small crew, which allowed the facilitators to connect more personally with each one of us. I fully recommend going through this process with Arkana."
"This has been a significant experience for me. If you ever get the opportunity to participate, don’t even hesitate. The experience is incredibly well organized, held, safe, and beautiful"
"I had the best experience at Arkana Sacred Valley. Everything was wonderful from start to finish. The facilitators made this experience exceptional as they were all incredibly kind, loving, supportive, and helped provide a safe space to lean into the experience and feel all the feels. Everything from the accommodations, location, cleanliness, and food were wonderful! The maestros are incredibly powerful and knowledgeable on the medicines & The small group environment made this place extra special. There is something extra special about making the pilgrimage to the native regions where this medicine is used by indigenous cultures. I feel incredibly grateful to have had this experience and I recommend Arkana to everyone considering plant medicines. "
"I attended the Sacha Wasi weekend retreat in December 2024 and it was everything I hoped for. They definitely know what they are doing. The whole process, starting with booking and having all my questions answered, having a pre-retreat call, getting support and information during the retreat itself thanks to Maya who volunteers there and the local community, and finishing with the ceremonies themselves and the post-retreat integration was great and smooth! It was an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend Sacha Wasi to seekers who are interested in this type of experience. "
"My journey to Soltara this past week has been the most profound lesson in healing that I've ever known.
I came here wondering where this road would lead me - believing, meditating, and having faith in the process as it unwound. But what transpired was a growth of self, and self-awareness that I never knew was imaginable.
Ayahuasca is a powerful, and mystical medicine that brings you eye to eye 👁️🌀👁️ with your creator, and the deepest part of your soul, daring you to explore what lays in depths far beyond the edge of your comfort zone. It's not for the weak of heart; it's not for the weak of mind. It takes so much courage to show up to this space and dive headfirst into the unknown. Open. Eager. And ready to do the work.
And make no mistake, it is *deeply* challenging work.
But the magic that unfolds, in, out of, and around these sacred ceremonies - with people from all ages and cultures and walks of life - is real. It's tangible. And it matters.
Being able to engage heart-first with 19 other strangers, as we expanded into deep, textured conversation about our fears, vulnerabilities, failures, successes, dreams, and insecurities, is lightning in a bottle for the human spirit ⚡️⚗️
My relationship with each and every one of these incredible people, has instilled in me a dose of perspective - of the beauty, and joy, and tragedy of humanity in all its forms - and reminded me of universal urge we all possess to truly, deeply heal ourselves.
The strength it takes to be a pillar for people trying to do this kind of work is mind boggling. And unsurprisingly, the facilitators at Soltara are some of the most insightful, compassionate, and beautiful beings I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.
To create a safe container at all times - from discussing childhood traumas, career frustrations, deaths of loved ones, and beyond - is a calling and a blessing to humanity. Christina, David, Frida, Tati, & Paolo all truly - truly - speak the Language of the Universe, and are some of the wisest teachers I've ever been fortunate to know.
it took three ceremonies for me to connect and really achieve the big breakthrough. I was the first to drink. Got some meditation and exercise earlier in the day. And could just feel that it was time
Sipping tea in the presence of these legends, as my eyes drifted away into fluorescent skies and constellations connecting
I came here searching for answers, and seeking transformation. What I've been left with is a gift. Of what it truly means to see the goodness in humanity, our stories, our traditions, and our planet. And to trust, deeper than ever, in the goodness that I'm meant to share with the world.
Endless gratitude to the mystery woven into the fabric of this universe, to the things we can't explain, and to the passengers who dare to explore what is really out there waiting for them.
To the rich roots and rhythm of the Shipibo tradition and ceremony, their sacred relationship to this plant medicine, and to their almighty icaros - passed down from maestro to maestro for the past millennia - thank you for providing the protection and clarity I needed for this reawakening."
"Very powerful week here at Arkana.
Everything is curated from the moment you step onto the property. I won't spoil with too many details but know that behind the scenes everything is perfectly designed for your growth and healing.
The bungalows have huge mosquito nets, ample desk and closet room. The restrooms are Swedish self composting toilets, room temperature/leaning cold showers, and stone basin hand washing faucets. The entire facility itself feels very integrated with the jungle, with nearly the entire structure being made of wood. There's a gym, massage center, reading area, and pool which gives you plenty to do in any free hours you may find.
The undisputed best part: the staff. As for the experience, I cannot say how AMAZING the facilitators are. They support in every way possible, and then some. Their energy is calm, uplifting, and elicits kindness in others. The maintenance staff is superb, with all the facilities in tip top shape despite the prolific amounts of bodily fluids around. The shamans are so uplifting, so charismatic, and so grounded that it inspired confidence in me when the process became difficult. Trust the shamans!
The chef and kitchen were sent from culinary heaven, they had half the guests clamoring for a cookbook because we couldn't believe everything was no added salts/sugars and STILL tasted so good! There was a birthday one night and this divine banana cake was made that still runs through my mind.
If you come here, come committed and open your heart. Trust the medicine, trust the shamans, trust your self! Wishing anyone considering a retreat here the best, and huge shoutout of appreciation to Arkana."
"Make sure that you drink plenty of water."
"The Ayahuasca retreat expanded my horizont drastically. Lots of insights, connections and a new angle to look at the world are some of the highlights that Ayahuasca provided me with.
I can highly recommend this retreat."
"My experience at Reunion is challenging to put into words. I had only briefly tried plant medicine this past spring, and it was a less than ideal experience. I researched heavily to choose the best retreat, and Reunion did not disappoint. I could not have asked for a more profound, deeply healing week. I highly recommend!"
"This is for the Sacred Valley location.
This was my first ayahuasca retreat. I didn't know what to expect. Arkana takes a very active role in your week. They very focused on spirituality and healing and take their medicines and ceremonies very seriously. On the first day you are asked to set an intention and share this with the maestros through a translator. I wasn't entirely comfortable sharing my problems with total strangers and gave a high-level version, not going too deep.
The ceremony space is very compact and personal. You need to be comfortable with strangers hearing all your bodily purging sounds loud and clear. And you need to be comfortable hearing that from everyone else. If you're shy or squeamish you might be better off in one of their other retreat locations.
The center is beautiful and comfortable. The food is excellent. The staff is excellent. The facilitators are kind and genuine. They've seen people go through hell and know how to take care of you. The maestros are the real thing. They care about you, listen to what you share, and give good feedback. I only wish I spoke Spanish so I could talk with them.
I had a hard time with the altitude the first half of the retreat. I also had some minor allergic reaction to either mapacho or palo santo smoke. Other people reported the same. The schedule is a bit tough as well. Ayahuasca ceremonies 2 nights in a row can be exhausting because it's usually difficult to get any sleep either night. This was followed by a very long day visiting Machu Picchu, followed the next day with a bufo ceremony and another ayahuasca ceremony. I could have used a rest day or 2 in there.
I would like Arkana to provide even more integration support after the experience. I don't know what's practical, but something like a regular meeting online would be great. I know they do this sometimes, but I think even once a week wouldn't be too much. Especially for recent retreat attendees."
"Extremely well organized and run center. The facilitators were amazing, very helpful and compassionate.
The medicine was ethically harvested and very pure. The food was SO delicious and healthy.
The setting is like heaven. I would recommend this center to anybody and everybody."
"This is worth it. There location, the facility, the food, the ceremonies, all incredible and done with care and love.
This is a life changing experience, enjoy if you take the leap, I will be cheering from here."
"Soltara at Playa Blanca offers an extraordinary experience and a nurturing environment for anyone embarking on or continuing their healing journey. From the warm welcome by the facilitation staff to the final moments of departure, I felt lovingly supported throughout my experience. The facilitation team and retreat staff wholeheartedly embrace each participant, providing a safe, insightful, and knowledgeable atmosphere during the retreat.
I was truly captivated by the retreat, and I am eternally grateful to the facilitators for their compassion and dedication in creating a secure space for my journey with plant medicine. The serene and picturesque Playa Blanca location added to the experience; I thoroughly enjoyed short hikes around the property, often spotting monkeys frolicking in the trees. The walk to the secluded beach is therapeutic in itself, and once there, the soothing waves and breathtaking ocean views were magnificent.
The culinary offerings surpassed all expectations, with each meal thoughtfully prepared with care and creativity. If you're contemplating a journey with plant medicine, I wholeheartedly recommend considering Soltara. With its commitment to authentic Shipibo ceremonies, skilled maestros, dedicated facilitation team, supportive staff, stunning location, and nourishing food, you'll find yourself in a loving, safe, and beautiful space to explore your plant medicine journey. Thank you, Soltara!"
"I recently attended an Ayahuasca retreat of Arkana in the Amazon in Peru. The experience was really awesome and I'm super grateful for this experience. The team was incredibly professional and supportive, creating a safe and nurturing environment for my healing and personal growth.
I was particularly impressed by the schedule for the whole week which (despite the Ayahuasca ceremonies) included a lot of activities that prepared one perfectly for the ceremonies as well as allowed post-processing them.
The retreat exceeded all my expectations and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a profound spiritual experience."
"Reunion really is the most beautiful, magical place to embark on your healing journey. I would not go anywhere else for a plant medicine retreat after experiencing the level of care and attention to detail at Reunion. They care so deeply about every individual there and I’m forever grateful for the love & support I received from the contributors and Shamans. I have come home cleansed physically, mentally & spiritually and I sincerely hope that I can return one day. "
"I had an excellent retreat at Soltara's new facility in the jungles of the Nicoya peninsula. Crossing the river 4 times and walking down a jungle trail for 30 minutes was just the start of the adventure that my soul needed for a healing 7 day, 4 ceremony retreat. The cohort was intimate. Only 8 people, we bonded and transformed together while the facilitators and Shaman guided us.
The food was excellent and tasty. I lost 11 lbs which I needed to do! This retreat facility is really magical, you are immersed in the jungle, safe and sound. It's truly a unique place that is much more interesting than just another beach resort experience. Do your soul a favor and book it while they are offering ceremonies at this facility. "
"Words can’t even describe how wonderful this retreat was for me. Some incredible insights and healing happened, and some wonderful friendships were made. The facilitators…I am truly at a loss for the work these people do. For me, personally, spending time with them was worth the trip itself. And then you add in the Maestros, the scenery, and of course, the medicine. It feels like this is something every person is meant to experience in their lives, it is such a beautiful and healing experience. And the way in which Soltara operates, honoring Shipibo traditions and respecting the medicine and the individuals journey, I can’t imagine doing this anywhere else after this experience."
"I attended Arkana Amazon nearly a month ago, and to say the experience was life changing would be an understatement. Everything from the itinerary, to the facilitators and the staff was beyond expectations. The Shamans are truly a gift as they help you navigate through the ceremonies and the medicine’s journey. I left the jungle with tons of questions answered and others that I didn’t know needed to be answered until I returned. Arkana puts as much work into the after process and integration as they do during the retreat. Highly highly recommended "
"Going to Arkana was the single most beautiful and transformative experience of my life. I have been to other retreats in different parts of the world and this is hands down the very best. From the beautiful hearts of the staff and facilitators, to the culinary expertise of the chef and kitchen workers, to the amazing and gifted shamans who work with you to get the most healing out of this experience. The way this Amazon retreat is ran and organized is simply incredible. I can not say enough wonderful things about this place. And you form a deep bond of community and respect and lasting friendships with the people who go through this experience with you. Thank you Arkana!! Thank you thank you thank you!! "
"Dear Friends,
As a meditation teacher, I never expected to be called to plant medicine, but after experiencing Arkana, my perspective has profoundly shifted. I've gained a deep respect and reverence for the medicine, which has transformed my life.
In my own practice, I serve cacao and blue lotus, but Arkana offers something unique and universal. The facilitators support in itself a powerful medicine.
Maestra Justina, Shaman Misael, and the other Shamans are profound guides of Soul Retrieval through the Icaros' light language.
I'm forever grateful for my personalized Arkana from the Shipibo tribe, to listen to at home sealing the medicine even further with wisdom and love.
With unconditional love and deep reverence,
Tolo Aria "
"My time at Arkana Spiritual Retreat in the Sacred Valley was truly transformative. The ayahuasca ceremonies were beautifully and safely guided, offering profound moments of clarity, healing, and connection that felt deeply personal and life-changing.
The stunning setting, combined with the care and wisdom of the facilitators, created the perfect environment for self-discovery. This experience was an eye-opening new beginning for me—one that has left me with a renewed sense of purpose and gratitude.
For anyone considering an ayahuasca journey, Arkana is the ideal place to start. Thank you for this unforgettable experience!
Brad Z."
"Beautiful nature and surroundings. Tranquility and peace. Beautiful rooms/ apartments. Wonderful people working there, holding space and ensuring that we get the most as we want out of our experience. Feels so safe and wholehearted. Delicious, fresh, nurturing food."
"Attending the Ayahuasca retreat at Reunion was one of the most life-changing experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, I could sense this was a sacred space designed for deep healing and transformation. The staff's patience, kindness, and genuine love for helping people heal were evident in every interaction. Their format was incredibly well-structured, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the journey with a supportive and knowledgeable team guiding the way.
This wasn’t a place where healing was handed to me on a platter; instead, I had to do the inner work. I arrived with my higher self, ready to face whatever surfaced, and the retreat created the perfect environment for that. Everything I had been suppressing came to light—emotions, memories, and blockages I didn't even know I had. With the gentle guidance of the facilitators, I was able to release these layers of pain and connect deeply with my true essence.
Every part of my experience was profound, from the sacred ceremonies to the heartfelt conversations. I felt an overwhelming sense of peace, joy, and happiness, unlike anything I've ever known. It truly felt like a glimpse of heaven on earth. The healing I received went beyond the physical realm; it touched me spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.
I didn’t want to leave this sanctuary because I had never felt so connected and whole. If you’re considering this retreat, I can wholeheartedly say it’s a place where true healing happens. It’s a journey you have to be ready for, but if you come with an open heart and willingness to dive deep, the experience will be nothing short of miraculous. I am eternally grateful for the transformation I underwent at Reunion and look forward to returning.

"For years, I have struggled with personal growth. I have continuously heard throughout my lifetime that the only way to experience growth and to personally grow is to get out of your comfort zone. I, like many others, struggle with this. I have tried numerous strategies in order to grow, so that I may feel more free mentally as well as spiritually. I had read about plant medicine for years and decided that it was time. I needed this growth and I was honestly tired of trying to get out of my comfort zone with little to no positive results. Arkana catapulted me off the edge towards my personal growth journey as well as my spiritual journey and has given me the tools I have needed my entire life in order to make it happen and to actually make progress on this journey. I believe that without Arkana, I would still be stuck in my own comfort zone which was starting to make me feel like a prisoner. It gave me a deep and insightful look at my inner being and made me aware of what I need to change, my weaknesses, and how to move forward in life. It has brought about change in my life that I could have never anticipated and actually made me excited about the future and my future growth. I could never have gotten to this point without the great help of Arkana 🙏 "
"I have been to LaWayra several times as a patient and can only describe it as a truly magical place.
Set in Colombian countryside it is surrounded by beautiful nature and refreshing waterfalls.
While everyone on the team goes beyond to make sure you are safe and well taken care of, you get to experience the indigenous medicine with its ancient traditions. With deepest respect to everyone‘s integrity Taita Fernando works very delicately with the medicine to ensure everyone’s safety to experience profound journeys into the subconscious.
Taking part in ceremonies at LaWayra you are able to gain deep insights into yourself, heal traumatic events, depression and anxiety and get in touch with spirituality. Besides that LaWayra offers a safe container to find a wonderful community and heal through the group, shared experiences and learn and heal from each other.
Every time coming back I am incredibly grateful for having this safe space to connect with myself, to others and to grow from this experience. "
"This may be a long one, but in a nutshell, Arkana has been the most transformational experience of my life and I will whole-heartedly recommend going there to any and everyone.
Before coming to Arkana, I had been meditating for around 6 years and been in therapy for 4 years. Both those were helpful, however, the medicine allowed me to see my vulnerabilities and pain in a way that therapy and meditation just were not able to. You see yourself for what you are, shorn of all defense mechanisms and pretenses. It is scary, sad, painful but also liberating and freeing. The medicine is made in the facility itself, which is a big plus point.
The facility itself is outstanding – in the middle of th Amazon jungle – the quality of the rooms, the daily house-keeping (which is not just done for formality’s sake but done in a really good way), the matresses which rival that of a top hotel and even the storage spaces are to good to believe. Even the bathrooms and toilets were nicely done up and super convenient to use.
The food was a big surprise to me. Each meal is a healthy FEAST – I mean I could eat this food on a daily basis. I cannot believe I am saying this for a salt and caffeine and red meat free diet, but I really miss the food there.
There are 3-4 paces there for meditating, yoga or just chilling. Each space is thoughtfully done up and is very inviting.
Equally, probably more surprising then the food is the existence of a gym which has all the equipment you can need – from dumbbells to barbells to kettlebells to a smith machine to a pull up bar to TRX to machines for lateral raises etc. I used the gym 6 times during my 7 day stay there!!
For me, however, the highlight of the trip was the amazing and giving attitude of the facilitators and the sheer presence of the Shamans. We were a group of 10 and had 5 shamans for each of the 4 ceremonies. This ratio of 2:1 is just mind blowing.
This was my first experience with the medicine and I do not have a reference point, but I can say that the ikaroos was beautiful and so touching. It made me sit up in literal rapture and I felt like my body and thoughts were being controlled by a power that is beyond my limited comprehension.
The facilitators themselves were amazing. They were there with a genuine desire to help us in our journey and to see us heal. It is not easy nor fun to take care of people who are losing their sense of reality under the influence of the medicine and can barely stand, but these guys did so and without a single complaint and a big smile on their face. Happiness and positivity is contagious and the facilitators were all super-spreaders!!
The overall vibe of the place was of healing and acceptance, which, to me, was a very important part of the experience. They were available for any questions or queries that we had and were happy to resolve them. As a plus point, they all play musical instruments and very well at that. Each time any of us was having a difficult experience, there was someone there to take care of us who knew what they were doing.
Though I did not get a chance to meet the owner, all things I heard about him were just great. He himself has an attitude of helping others rather than just making money and that really shows in how the place is run. So, kudos to the entire team for giving me an unforgettable experience.
