Inner Sanctuary
About this Retreat
Details of this retreat
Arrive in the wooded mountains of Menla and return home feeling centered, strong, and deeply restored.
Over three nourishing days, you’ll engage in practices that cultivate steadiness, strength, and deep rest. Drawing inspiration from the rhythms of the natural world, this retreat integrates yoga, breathwork, meditation, and restorative practices to help you build an inner refuge you can return to long after the weekend ends.
Expect a well-rounded experience that balances strong, intelligently sequenced yoga practices with deeply restorative work, offering both challenge and renewal. Practices are designed to meet you where you are, supporting both exploration and ease.
Together we will explore:
Vinyasa & Restorative Yoga: Strong, thoughtfully designed flows that build strength and mobility, balanced with restorative practices that encourage release and recovery.
Pranayama & Guided Meditation: Accessible breath practices and meditation to cultivate clarity, steadiness, and emotional resilience.
Myofascial Release Ball Rolling & Resistance Stretching: Practical techniques to ease tension, improve range of motion, and support long-term functional strength.
Yoga Nidra: Guided deep rest designed to help the whole system reset.
Forest Hikes: Time on Menla’s trails to reconnect with the grounding rhythms of the world.
Sustainable Practices Workbook: A practical guide with tools and habit-building strategies to help you integrate yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness into daily life in a way that is realistic and lasting.
Daphne and Stacia have been leading retreats together at Menla since 2016, creating experiences that are grounded, skillful, and deeply supportive while honoring each participant’s inner wisdom.
Whether you are seeking renewal, strength, clarity, or time to breathe, this weekend offers space for meaningful practice in the support within community, helping you return to your inner sanctuary again and again.

Impeccable kitchen...beautiful surroundings
The scenery is magnificent, the landscape supreme, the food was AMAZING, cleanliness was top notch.
Everybody at Menla was extremely helpful and nice, with the exception of one person who shall remain nameless.
This is a special place
The Menla staff was welcoming and helpful.
I was disappointed with the meals. I live in the SF Bay area and am fortunate to have access to very high quality and thoughtful vegetarian food. I found the meals to be Okay but not delicious. I should mention that our group didn't have breakfast. I did appreciate the creative beverage offerings and constant access to fresh fruit - the apples were yummy!
Nice place, kind staff, pricey, food was not good, not enough
Staff should wait until meetings are finished before moving items or making accommodations. The trail signs were also confusing and unclear; improving them would make a big difference.
