Course Dates

Start Date: 1st of every month
End Date: 20th of every month
Duration: 20 Days / 19 Nights

Yoga Practice & Traditional Techniques

The programme provides structured training in Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga, along with Pranayama and Meditation. Students are introduced to traditional yogic practices such as Mudras, Bandhas, Shatkarma, Mantra Chanting and Yoga Nidra, helping them develop a broader understanding of yoga beyond asana practice.

Yoga Philosophy & Theory

Students study important theoretical subjects including Yoga Philosophy, Anatomy and Physiology, Alignment and Adjustment, Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda. These sessions help participants understand the principles behind yoga practice and develop knowledge that can be applied both to their personal practice and future teaching.

Teaching Methodology & Practical Learning

A key part of the 200-hour training is Teaching Methodology, where students learn how to structure and conduct yoga classes. The programme combines guided practice with teaching-related sessions, allowing participants to develop their understanding of sequencing, alignment, adjustments and communication while gradually building confidence as yoga teachers.

Personal Practice & Learning

The 20-day format provides dedicated time for regular yoga practice, theoretical study and self-learning. Students can strengthen their personal practice while developing a deeper understanding of the techniques and principles covered during the course. The combination of practice and classroom learning creates a structured environment for continuous learning throughout the programme.

Rishikesh Experiences & Activities

Alongside the training, participants have opportunities to experience the spiritual and cultural environment of Rishikesh through activities such as Ganga Beach Yoga, meditation, Ganga Aarti, temple visits and guided excursions. These experiences allow students to connect with the traditional atmosphere of Rishikesh while complementing their yoga studies.

Residential Experience

The residential programme includes accommodation, sattvic vegetarian meals, study materials and yoga practice props, providing participants with the essential resources required during their training. Living and learning in the same environment also allows students to follow a structured daily routine focused on yoga, study and personal development.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the programme, participants receive a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate from Vinyasa Yoga Academy. The training provides the foundational education and practical experience needed for students who wish to continue developing their yoga practice and teaching journey.
