Our Mindfulness Meditation and Yoga Retreat is the ideal retreat for first time retreaters who seek to discover the transformative power of mindfulness meditation and yoga in a supportive and nurturing atmosphere. You'll enjoy daily meditation sessions and yoga classes designed to enhance focus, compassion, and overall well-being.
During your free time, you can immerse yourself in the beautiful nature surroundings (including the creek and small lotus pond on the property), read, write, practice walking and sitting meditation on the grounds, socialize with other guests, treat yourself to a hike, or some of our wonderful additional treatments. ​
Guided by one of our experienced mindfulness and yoga practitioners and teachers, this retreat offers a nurturing space to reconnect with yourself and discover tools for lasting peace. Our maximum number of guests is limited to 9 to ensure personal attention.

Getting Here

Location icon La Casa De Loto

Directions

As we are located in the mountains outside of a town where it is dark, we highly recommend that you arrive here during daylight.
We are located around 1.5 hours from Medellin International Airport and 2 hours from Medellin City (el Poblado). We are happy to help you book an airport transfer from Medellin International Airport or a pick-up from Guatape. From Medelln, you can also arrive by public transport.
We do not have parking space at La Casa De Loto. If you are planning to come here by car, you can leave it in Guatapé and from there take a mototaxi (tuktuk) which brings you to the front door of La Casa de Loto. You can also park on the street in front of our centre but at your own risk.

Accommodation

La Casa de Loto is inspired by the wisdom of the Buddha’s forest retreat tradition. The buildings and accommodations are simple and comfortable and you will have the feeling of being immersed in a natural setting whether inside or outside a building. Our retreat cabins are thoughtfully designed, comfortable rooms, nestled in the forest with a mountain creek that flows below. We offer shared accommodation as well as private rooms and cabins, with comfortable beds and hot showers.

Private Retreat Cabin with en-suite Bathroom

A spacious cabin in a little corner of our retreat centre. Nestled beside a gentle, flowing stream, this cabin offers the perfect escape into nature. Featuring a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, it’s designed for ultimate comfort and serenity. Large balcony where you can meditate while the soothing sounds of the stream create a calming ambiance. 

Private Room with en-suite Bathroom

Our tranquil private room designed for rest and rejuvenation offers a peaceful sanctuary at our retreat center. It features two single beds and an ensuite bathroom, providing privacy and convenience. Step onto the shared balcony, a serene space to connect with nature, reflect, or simply enjoy the tranquil surroundings. 

2 Person Shared Room

This cozy room has two comfortable single beds, an in-room bathroom and a balcony that is shared with another room. It offers amazing views of the mountains.

Cozy Retreat Room w Wifi

Accommodation
A beautiful room made of bamboo and wood, with it's own balcony, next to the social area. It offers in-room wifi access if you need to attend a meeting or do some work during your retreat. The room has a private outdoor shower and a private toilet. The room has a double bed and is perfect for one person, or a couple.

Private Forest Cabin

Accommodation
Our most spacious and beautiful cabin, nestled in it's own little corner in the woods. It has a king-size bed, a private meditation room with a comfortable armchair, en-suite bathroom and balcony. You can meditate and sleep with the sound of the stream that flows next to it. It provides a restful retreat in the midst of nature.

We are located in the mountains outside of the tourist town of Guatapé, in Antioquia, Colombia; about 1.5 hours from Medellin International Airport (MDE), and 2 hours from Medellin. Our property is set in nature, with a native forest and stream, and amazing views. The climate here is temperate, generally warm in the day and cool in the evening.

An Incredible Experience
This retreat was truly incredible. I left feeling like a new person. All of the staff and participants were lovely, open, supportive, and kind. La Casa de Loto is a magical place and I really didn’t want to leave. Thanks to all who poured their heart into this experience to make it so amazing. If I could I would relive it all over again!

Amazing experience
I experienced a silence I have never perceived in my life so far. The food was delightful and the staff really kind. Although Prima did not speak a lot, meditation classes gave me new tools and strategies to use in my daily practice. As a beginner, Yoga was challenging but afterwards I felt the benefits in my body. Amazing Yoga Retreat
Casa de Loto is a wonderful place for everyone who is looking for some peace and to disconnect a few days from the busy day-to-day life. We had an amazing time there. The location is simple but super comfortable. The yoga and meditation classes were incredible, the food delicious and everyone is very warm and friendly. Would have loved to stay longer.
