About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

Dan’s Prayers Live on in Berrigan’s Folly: A Place of Respite for Resistance. Come celebrate Dan’s 104th Birthday on the Mountain!

A year ago, we reached out asking for support to rehab Daniel Berrigan’s favorite place for respite- Folly cottage near Nelson Lodge at Kirkridge. We are so grateful to all those who supported this project to make it happen.

We want to say thank you and celebrate the work ahead! Join us at Kirkridge May 8-9. Thursday afternoon we will begin with a blessing of Folly, followed by dinner, and an evening hybrid program sharing the stories and vision ahead. Friday morning there will be time for touring Folly, walking the land, and celebrating communion at the Peace Garden dedicated to Dan and Phil Berrigan and Liz McAlister.

As part of our celebration, we will release Berrigan's Folly Program to provide free space to ensure frontline activists can find rest for the days ahead. Read More

Excellent leadership. Well-paced. Community building. Beautiful setting. Gardening built into the weekend. Sessions were intimate and creative, especially appreciated the collective dream work. Another good fit for the entire program. Thanks to the Kirkridge Community. Read More

very wet wild church!
So I showed up for a very wet Wild Church on Wed. April 3-- and it was great!

What sweet, caring people! What a nice, thoughtful, short & compelling worship service- also wet!

What a nice, simple - but yummy- covered dish supper, to boot!

And what a nice, warm and dry night's stay afterwards at an extremely affordable price!

The best simple evening I've had in a long time. I will do it again. You should, too!
