About this Retreat
Ramesh is the Director of the Prama Wellness Center where lifestyle is considered our best medicine. Ramesh is also a writer, yogi and workshop leader. He studied yoga therapy in Nepal and India, Ayurveda at California College of Ayurveda and is a certified yoga detox therapist from the AM Wellness Center in Cebu, Philippines. He has taught workshops in many countries and is the author of four books, including Sacred Body, Sacred Spirit (InnerWorld) and Tantra: The Yoga of Love and Awakening (Hay House India).
Yoga came into Joel's life at a young age and it quickly became a perfect supplement to his athletic trainings as a lacrosse player throughout high school and college. Although it was the physical practice of yoga that drew Joel in, it was the mental and more subtle aspects of the practice that made Joel fall in love with yoga for life.
Joel's first glimpse into the more internal world of yoga and meditation was a Vipassana silent meditation retreat in Thailand in 2015. From that point on his world shifted and he knew there was so much more to discover within the body and mind. He has attended teacher trainings in Thailand, Peru & Bali and has taught yoga at various places all over the world.
Joel creates a safe space that allows students to feel comfortable and to truly be themselves. You can expect his classes and teaching style to be challenging, fun, creative, intentional, meditative. Joel has a passion for sharing the gifts he has received from the practice of yoga with the community around him!
